Former CIA Director John Brennan said Sunday that he is considering taking legal action to try to prevent President Donald Trump from stripping other current and former officials security clearances.
Speaking on NBCs Meet the Press, Brennan said hes been contacted by a number of lawyers about the possibility of an injunction in the wake of Trumps move to revoke his clearance and threaten nine others who have been critical of the president or are connected to the Russia probe.
If my clearances and my reputation as Im being pulled through the mud now, if thats the price were going to pay to prevent Donald Trump from doing this against other people, to me its a small price to pay, Brennan said. So I am going to do whatever I can personally to try to prevent these abuses in the future. And if it means going to court, I will do that. [
]
Brennans legal warning came as other officials joined the growing chorus of critics now more than 75 intelligence officials denouncing Trumps security clearance threats, saying they have a right to express their views on national security issues without fear of punishment.

Bring it on Brennan.
Sessions and Wray are scared stiff to interview you.
But Rudy will tear him apart under oath.

it’s terrifying that this lunatic was ever DCIA.

Brennan and his leftist allies are trying to make a huge stink about lifting his security clearance. The real message to Trump is don’t you dare arrest us and hold us accountable for trying to subvert and rig a Presidential election.

I doubt it’s “scared stiff”, but both have shown that they’re on his side.

There is no “legal action” possible to stop executive action within the executive branch.
All action within the executive branch is the prerogative of the Chief Executive.

Sign of the times, to be sure. Bad enough he passed CIA muster after voting for Gus Hall; he should have gone to federal prison.

They will find a liberal, leftist Federal Judge to order Trump to re-instate their security clearances, and then this will go to the SC. I wish these knuckleads good luck - they are in a battle they cannot win.

I thought you had a security clearance based on some function of government where you had a need to know. So now that this A-hole has “outed himself as a political loose cannon” what current or future administration will ever want to consult with him on security matters where he has a “need to know?”
Answer: NONE. Bye bye security clearance.

They will find a liberal, leftist Federal Judge to order Trump to re-instate their security clearances, and then this will go to the SC. The Supreme Court is going to be busy overturning all these lower courts that have overruled the President. This is why keeping congress is paramount for no other reason than to get Trump's judicial picks through.

Is it really a security clearance if a lefty judge determines you get one ?

Guess how this would be spun if these jackwagons tried this to obama.

What actions are you referring to?
Has anybody been indicted yet, after two years of inaction?
