The media freaked out on Saturday after ICE arrested a man in southern California while taking his pregnant wife to the hospital, only for the agency to later announce he is wanted for murder in Mexico.
Joel Arrona Lara, 36, was detained at a gas station in San Bernardino, California, while he and his wife were on their way to the hospital for her cesarean section. He reportedly had been living in the U.S. illegally for 12 years.

Even if he was an otherwise law abiding illegal alien criminal he should have been scooped up and booted any time ICE had an opportunity to do so. He shouldn’t get a pass just because he impregnated somebody. I don’t care.

I am curious as to what the murder charges are about: Did he murder a gov. official corrupt or not, another Mexcan citizen (nun, neighbor, child), a drug cartel member?
Inquiring minds and all...
I suppose if he had murdered a corrupt official or cartel member he could have asked for asylum...

My understanding is that the mother had an appointment for the C-section (not an emergency) but of course the media wants to suggest that ICE was being cruel. It was a murder charge, for Pete's sake.

The original argument was by liberals claiming that ICE brazenly arrested the man who was taking his wife to the hospital to give birth...They claimed they endangered the wife and the child...
The wife and the child were NOT in any danger as she was NOT in labor...
The liberals went ballistic about the arrest...
The arrest was fully warranted because of a the murder warrant given from Mexico that the ICE agents followed through on...This came out later...
What started all this was the arrest as he was taking her for a cesarean procedure...
Maybe you need to look at the WHOLE picture...The arrest was fully warranted...
