My understanding is that once the jury has gone into deliberations then the prosecutor can no longer ask for a mistrial. I could be wrong....legal weasels out there have input?

I do want justice done if Manafort broke the law, but this wreaks of political witch-hunt.
Mueller did everything possible to coerce this guy into turning on Trump.
That seems rather obvious.
Btw, it’s being reported these were death threats directed right at the Judge. Yes, it appears possible this was partly over the jurors names being released. But then again the threats might not have directly threatened the jurors, but the judge took the initiative himself to keep the jurors names secret due to the threats he received.
This judge seems to be a very good one.

go home every night.
Which means they are going to hear about CNN’s request for their
names and addresses. Which means intimidation.
Well, my comments are based on the headline/tweet, that it was the the judge who received the threats. No?
Of course CNN would want the names, like any other news organization. But I was specifically talking about the direct threats to the judge.

It’s unusual for news organizations to request names and addresses
of jurors BEFORE verdicts are rendered.
CNN knows the jurors will hear about their request before
any verdicts are rendered. That is their purpose.
