I see, you’re a typical liberal anti-American bigot that thinks only foreigners can do good work and Americans suck.

I see you're a typical liberal who believes everyone is exceptional and deserves a job whether they can perform it or not.

This is good. We have whole subdivisions of Indians in Metro Atlanta sucking up every tech job. Jobs Americans just aren’t capable of doing. (,sarc)

I agree 100%. I think the ideas get sold to the board to make the VP (and occasionally president) look better, because they’re going to save the company a ton of money. When it fails, then begins the excuses and finger pointing, but they continue being employed somehow.

Also, among Indians, lying in the resume is a HUGE issue.

I used to work in the retail industry. The employer I started out with went bankrupt. Our CEO had been CEO of a total of five retail companies, and he took them ALL bankrupt. Yet people kept hiring him as their CEO.

When you get 10 resumes in a row, and they all have identical education (especially degrees from Hyberabad) and work history... things that make you go hmm.

“background check to verify diplomas”

Indians fail at that. Their universities are diploma mills. I am not sure they are even required to attend.

I’ve seen far too many bachelor’s credentialed Indians not have the slightest education in the mater’s programs. They were taught a language like Java so they could come to America, but they have zero knowledge of computer science. None.

They are used to plagiarizing in India. I listened as one Indian proclaimed, “But I didn’t just take it from the Internet, I had to change it to my name, so it is my work.”

Another Indian demanded that the exam questions be provided before the exam because, “That’s how we do it in India!” He was pissed that he failed the exam and blamed it on “Stupid F****ing Americans!”

That is how stupid they are.

I don’t think Indian universities should be accepted in the US. In fact, some of them are not. The US government maintains lists of unacceptable universities, and many of them from India are on that list. Some Indian universities don’t even exist. They are merely an office that will send bogus transcripts to foreign companies attempting to do an education background check.

“I see you’re a typical liberal who believes everyone is exceptional and deserves a job whether they can perform it or not. “

Liar. I never said or insinuated that.

Nice try at deflecting that you are a liberal anti-American, pro-foreigner.

I see you're a typical liberal who believes everyone is exceptional and deserves a job whether they can perform it or not.

Americans can do these jobs its just butt wipe globalists don't want to pay, they'd rather have indentured servants. All of you human trafficker will answer to a higher authority one day. God help you for the pain this program has caused your fellow Americans. Lynching is too good.

“Also, among Indians, lying in the resume is a HUGE issue.”

Absolutely.

When a job req has many bullet points, the Indians will lie and update their resume with the exact bullet points copied and pasted into their resume.

Indian hiring managers expect it so they can say the Indian matched perfectly but the American did not.

I agree with you Code. We have a similar background. I taught Operating Systems at Auburn Univ for 20 years.

I am also a Microsoft Certified Trainer and MVP, and my partner in a new business venture is a Microsoft RD, and great, famous coder. I excel in Server systems and network management solutions, he excels in .NET, SQL Server, C# and C++ and we’re both heavily involved in teaching Azure and AWS business solutions.

It sickens me to see so many H-1B’s get in when we have so many eager Americans, highly trained and ready, to take a position. It’s worse for older tech workers. Many in their 40s and 50s come to us to upgrade to the most modern technologies, and then they have not only training, but a wealth of knowledge from the past and excellent work ethics.

Yet these guys (and a few gals) do not get hired. The firm will put in a bunch of Bull$hit qualifications that NOBODY would have in order to get an H-1B.

One reason is they can pay the H-1B much less. The other is that the older workers are feared by the HR people that think they’ll require a $hit-ton of benefits they’d not have to pay for an H-1B.

We do not need any more foreign workers in IT shops. High-end research MAYBE, but rank and file Americans are easily found but Congress gives business the H-1B in order to make it financially lucrative for those companies, at the expense of Americans.

How wrong that is!!!

Apply for a position and you can receive all of the policies and verification information you'd like. Just ask. We haven't been the top companies to work for in IT by making people unhappy, and why we also have less than 1.5% attrition... which is unheard of in IT.

That’s needs to be a billboard in every city, and outside the whitehut.

The H-1B program is nothing but human trafficking.

Companies in India send them to the US and put them into single room apartments, which is illegal in most cities. They pay them next to minimum wage, usually about $8/hr, and take their remaining money.

After the 3,6, 9, or 12 month contract is up, the company illegally keeps them in the US beyond their visa date, or fakes hiring them in a front-company to keep them in the US.

That’s human trafficking.
