Attorney General Jeff Sessions quietly tapped Huber — apparently last fall — to work in tandem with the Justice Department’s inspector general to determine whether conservative allegations of abuse at the FBI and the Justice Department merit investigation.
The administration has provided few public details about Huber’s assignment beyond a lengthy message from Sessions to Congress in which he argued that his appointment should be sufficient to address the concerns raised by GOP lawmakers.
The Justice Department has declined to comment on his budget or what Sessions meant when he said that Huber is working “in cooperation” with Inspector General Michael Horowitz. Horowitz’s office also declined to comment.
White House officials see Huber as a second special counsel in everything but name because he has the authority to prosecute, a task the inspector general has to refer to a U.S. attorney.
The letter also informed Congress that Sessions had already appointed veteran prosecutors to look into other matters brought to the department’s attention, now believed to include possible abuse of FISA to improperly obtain search warrants to spy on people associated with then-candidate Donald Trump.

The letter explained:
“These senior prosecutors will report directly to the Attorney General and Deputy Attorney General, as appropriate, and will make recommendations as to whether any matters not currently under investigation should be opened, whether any matters currently under investigation require additional resources, or whether any matters merit the appointment of a Special Counsel.”
In other words, four months ago Sessions publicly informed Congress that he was looking into these matters with an eye to possibly appointing additional special prosecutors once he received these reports – but Congress, the media, and commentators either missed this public document or ignored it.
On March 7, Sessions reaffirmed his willingness to appoint another special counsel in an interview with Shannon Bream on Fox News at Night. He responded directly to congressional calls for a new special counsel.
Sessions informed Congress in his letter that all the matters recommended for investigation by Goodlatte, Gowdy, and Grassley are “fully within the scope of [Huber’s] existing mandate.” He also informed the chairmen that Inspector General Michael Horowitz, who is working with Huber, has a staff of 470 investigators, giving Huber access to enormous investigative firepower that far exceeds the staff of any special counsel.

So you post Turley and The Hill nonsense about Huber instead of actually posting the Sessions and Boyd letters that describes Huber's task. Only a person who can't think for themselves, a cultist, would do such a thing. Go and read those letters and then try to think for yourself instead of relying on propagandists and cultists.

And BTW, I don't know many Freepers who trust Turley, who gets his pay checks from the likes of the NY Times and all of the rest of the anti American Big Media.

US Attorney Huber reports to Deep State Rosenstein. Sessions is recused. Given those two facts, it is pretty clear what is meant by reporting "as appropriate" means in the Sessions Boyd letters.

“A judge has ordered the restart of DACA. How could that happen? It’s an executive order by Zero. See how it works now?”

And it will go to SCOTUS who will overturn it.
