John Kasich: GOP Candidate Said He Didn't Invite Trump To Ohio Rally
MSN News ^ | 8/5/18 | Nina Golgowski

Ohio Gov. John Kasich (R) on Sunday suggested that President Donald Trump appeared at a campaign rally in his state on Saturday without a direct invitation from the House candidate he came to tout.

Kasich, speaking on ABC’s “This Week,” said he asked state Sen. Troy Balderson, the Republican candidate for a U.S. House seat in a Tuesday special election, point blank why he invited Trump to campaign for him at his event in Delaware County.

“I asked him the other day, ‘Why are you bringing Trump in,’ said Kasich, who has been one of the GOP’s harshest critics of the president. Kasich said Balderson told him, “Well, I don’t have anything to do with it.”

I said GOP machine support, not Kasich support. Kasich has clout with the machine, not the voters. With the GOP machine, it’s party over voters. You know that. It’s what Trump has changed and is pissing off the GOP. It’s why Trump is so damned popular with voters.

Kasich is supported by the GOPe. Go look at his twitter. It’s like a who’s who of never Trumpers tripping over each other trying to outdo each other kissing Kasich’s ass.

Isn’t that the guy with the Goober haircut, who eats pizza with a fork and his campaign slogan was his dad is a mailman?

LOL — Another bit from his website:

Troy Balderson will work with President Trump to build the wall and protect Ohio’s working class from illegal immigration. He opposes sanctuary cities, driver’s licenses and in-state tuition for illegals, and will fight alongside President Trump to deport those here illegally.

—Doesn’t sound like someone trying to ‘distance’ himself from Trump. Go Troy!!

I used to live in Kasich’s district, the 12th. Believe me, Trump is way more popular than the pizza-stuffing mailman’s son.

My bet is Kasich is being the lying @$$hole he's always been.

I went to Balderson's election website (baldersonforcongress.com) and on the "Issues" page found only words of support for Trump:

"Build the Wall & Stop Illegal Immigration"

"Troy Balderson will work with President Trump to build the wall and protect Ohio’s working class from illegal immigration. He opposes sanctuary cities, driver’s licenses and in-state tuition for illegals, and will fight alongside President Trump to deport those here illegally."

"Supporting President Trump"

"Troy Balderson voted for Donald Trump and is a strong supporter of his administration. He will work with the president to drain the swamp and fight unfair trade practices hurting Ohio businesses and families."

While I found he mentioned Kasich only once - in words of opposition:
"Healthcare"

"Troy Balderson believes we must repeal and replace Obamacare once and for all. He has consistently voted to keep Obamacare out of Ohio, opposing Governor Kasich’s efforts to bring it to the state. DC Republicans ran on repealing Obamacare, and it’s time they make true on their word."

Once again, Trump pinned "1 for 38 Kasich" from the very beginning as a lying loser.

Sorry for repeating your posting. I checked the thread before I began my post... But was interrupted for longer than I realized before finishing and posting.

I just wish someone had posted about his support for Trump on the first page. — If I didn’t know better I’d almost think Kasich is trying to hurt TB’s vote count with this article.

The $64,000 question is, “What Republican would invite Kasich anywhere?”

What Republican would invite Kasich anywhere?

Jeb, Rubio, Romney, Ryan, McConnell, McStain...the usual suspects.

Trump was going to Ohio. Trump has rallies Kasich did not invite Trump to Ohio ever in fact he did not go to the convention. Trump is Trump, you can get on the wagon or not. But Trump does not need an invitation. And frankly there are lots who would love to have Trump. But Trump is going to keep going to Ohio, Florida, Pennsylvania and Michigan just like Obama did in his first term.

That the thread was up for so long without a post on his open support for Trump, was exactly what also surprised me!

More fake stories to try and sabotage Balderson. Anyone who heard Balderson speak at the rally heard a full throated support of POTUS and knows this fiction is a steaming pile of dung.
