By S.Noble - July 29, 20181 FacebookTwitterGoogle+PinterestEmailRedditShare The House Appropriations Committee voted on Wednesday to allow victims of gang violence and domestic abuse to enter the United States under new asylum rules.
There is no way to verify their status as victims and any foreigner could make this claim, especially those coming from the hellholes of the world. Asylum rules are not meant to take in everyone or theyre not rules.
In June, Attorney General Jeff Sessions announced a decision to stop granting asylum for such claimants.
The mere fact that a country may have problems effectively policing certain crimes such as domestic violence or gang violence or that certain populations are more likely to be victims of crime, cannot itself establish an asylum claim, he wrote.
On Wednesday House Republicans overturned this.
LET ALL INVOLVED IN GANG OR DOMESTIC VIOLENCE COME TO THE USA Even though there is no way to prove victimization by gangs or a bad spouse, this committee wants to let all who make the claim become U.S. citizens.
The amendment was offered by Rep. David Price (D-N.C.). They cleverly passed it on a voice vote so there is no record of who voted for or against. The committee is run by Rep. Kevin Yoder (R-KS) who let the vote pass out of committee. Yoder is a big supporter because, he says, his mother is a social worker.

There are snakes lurking in the grass!
But will it pass the whole House?? Senate prolly will.
And does POTUS have to sign it to become law???

That’s what I was wondering... just getting out of committee doesn’t make it a “law” or do anything requiring a change in policy... unless I’m missing something.
and maybe we can throw Africa in with that too

May as well since China is already on the list ...
Im not surprised by Roby but I am absolutely shocked by my Representative, Robert Aderholt. Aderholt has always been a principled, reliable conservative. Or, so I thought.
Im learning that you cant trust any of them. I guess Aderholt has been in the District of Corruption for too long (21 years).
We better clarify that point. I guess I assumed Roby was guilty. We can't really know who voted which way, but we can know that they are most all cowards and hiding under their beds after this vote.
This has gotten very little media attention, AFAIK, and I haven't noticed any coming forward to say how they voted and why.
Thanks for the clarification.
The Senate can kill this, or President Trump can veto it, but this bill has to die.
Carter from Texas was the only one to speak against this.
Backstabbing scum!
House reps: Please do not pass this! Or, if you do... watch out!

Add: Don’t forget about November elections coming up!
This is a redefinition that any prospective immigrant in the world could drive a truck through - using totally subjective and unverifiable criteria to not only get into the country, but to get in with the highest legal status (asylum) to receive full welfare benefits.
It would be a disaster to write such criteria into law.
A billion people could come make the claim, and be entitled to full welfare. They could probably bring their spouses and children as well.
No bill becomes a law until it passes both House & Senate and then signed by POTUS. However the POTUS part can be over-ridden by 2/3 of Congress.
Yes, expect 400 million from India and 400 million from China, to claim domestic violence or gang activity and receive green cards in US, with full welfare benefits.
I hope this committee action makes the talk radio circuit this week and maybe some of the hosts will flush out what other Republicans on the committee have to say.
This is really despicable to try and undermine Trump and his tougher asylum policies in such a cowardly, unaccountable way as a committee voice vote.
