House Minority Whip Steny Hoyer said on Tuesday that President Donald Trump “seeks to establish a more authoritarian regime.”
Houer was responding to a question about whether former CIA Director John Brennan should be allowed to keep his security clearance after calling a sitting president’s actions “treasonous.”
At his regular pen-and-pad briefing with reporters, CNSNews.com asked Hoyer: “Former CIA Director John Brennan has publicly declared the sitting president ‘treasonous.’ Should he be permitted to keep his security clearance?”
Hoyer responded: “I’m very, very concerned. This is one instance—but there are so many others—where this president opts to promote totalitarian responses and processes, and seeks to establish a more authoritarian regime under his presidency. This is one of those instances. If Obama had done this with respect to Republicans, the Republicans would have been on the ceiling as they were with the IRS, looking at whether or not certain groups were getting a tax benefit to which they were not entitled.” …

People like Hoyer like to promote the big government lie that ‘socialism is freedom.’ That abortion and homosexual marriage are God-given rights. That illegal aliens have a right to invade our country. That globalism is good for America. Good is evil, evil is good, etc. If there’s any treason going on here, it’s being perpetrated by deep-state America-haters like Brennan, aided and abetted by propaganda-spewing godless progressives like Hoyer.

In reality maybe House Minority Whip Steny Hoyer should take a look at the promises President Trump made to the voters. If he did, he would notice that President Trump is simply keeping those promises.

I’m guessing this is much ado about little. These former high-level officials seem to get certain classified briefings. They don’t have access to the original classified material unless it was produced in the past under their direct control.
Access to to their own past files is supposed to be for scholarly and historical purposes. Lots of these people write memoirs that are supposed to be accurate.
Certainly yanking even their seemingly minimal access is absolutely justified when their behavior is nakedly partisan, and no one can interfere with President’s ability to do so.
