The United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit ruled Tuesday that openly carrying a firearm in public is constitutional.
The ruling, issued by a three-judge panel, is a rebuttal to Hawaiis claim that Second Amendment protections only applied to carrying a gun openly in ones home.
Reuters reports that the case was brought by George Young, after Hawaiian official twice [denied] him a permit to carry a gun outside. A District Court ruled that the denial did not infringe rights protected by the Second Amendment, but the Ninth Circuit panel disagreed.

So, is this a late April fools gag or something? The 9th ruling affirmatively on a 2nd amendment issue? Really? WOW! It really is topsy turvey world.

SO NOW THIS IS “LAW OF THE LAND”, RIGHT?
Like gay marriage became “law of the land’ by judicial degree?

What a coincidence. Just looked outside and saw a pig fly.

It’s not the first time in recent memory. I wonder if they’re afraid of impeachment at this point. I hope they are.

It will probably change if the court hears the case “en banc”

Well it was in reference to a lower court ruling in Hawaii so, you never know who it will be interpreted. It could be a case of cali-crazy. ;-)

It was a very conservative 2 judges. The entire 9th can change this ruling.

"What's that mean in English?"
It means the entire panel of 9th Circuit judges would rule on it rather than the three judge panel that just issued the ruling.
To: rktman
I'm no expert but I think the next step is to ask the entire court to consider the matter rather than just three judges. If I'm correct and if that happens we can be sure that the 9th Circus will rule against the 2nd Amendment.

How in the hell did that court come to that conclusion? Nothing in our constitution indicates that we’re only able to open carry IN OUR OWN HOMES. The inalienable right to Self defense extends BEYOND the home- It exists at all times- not just in the home!

Thats two favorable 2A rulings in a month.
Aliens are real. Theyve clearly kidnapped and replaced the 9th circus. Clearly they are more sensible about what our laws say, so I guess I welcome our new alien overlords.
