Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer has questioned whether Russian President Vladimir Putin holds damaging information over President Trump, and has outlined five ways the GOP-held Congress should respond to Russia's election meddling and Monday's bizarre Trump-Putin press conference.
Between the lines: Republicans are calling all of the shots when it comes to introducing legislation or subpoenaing information from the administration.
Schumer's ask of the GOP:
Increase sanctions against Russia.
Demand that the president's national security team that accompanied him to the Russia summit testify before Congress about what happened.
End all attacks on the Justice Department, the FBI and Special Counsel Robert Mueller. Schumer said it's also time for Trump to sit down for an interview with Mueller.
Demand that Trump insists the 12 Russians named in last week's indictment be sent to the U.S. to stand trial.
Push through bipartisan legislation for election security to prevent future election interference.

Why yes. If the Democrats could magically take power, all of this would just vanish - along with all of us who might pose any future threat to them. Russia and the Rats would be best buds along with the Mullahs and all would be well with the subjugation of the freedom loving part of the US citizenry.

The Commie Rats are making Putin and Russia the “Great Satan”, much as the mullahs in Iran made the US the “Great Satan to influence their citizens.
For the record, I don’t necessarily hate the Russians, although I don’t trust them (I guess a product of growing up during the cold war). However, I have grown to hate the lying, thieving, anti-American commie rat party.
Seed voters roles with fake names... then see if those 'nonexistent people vote'... The FBI has ignored voter fraud because they've wanted to give democrats the room to swing elections using fraud.
But we can't afford that anymore. Russia might change 5 votes and we can't have that...
So now - with the big fear about Russia the corrupt FBI can no longer offer democrats that gift..
So FBI seed the roles. Catch the crooks. Also, anyone involved in voter fraud should be subject to the death penalty.

..... I am getting quite amused at the entire planets armchair politicians "Take" on the Putin/Trump Press conference .....
.... Don't forget ... what people saw yesterday was just a Press Conference! Do people realize that it was just held for public consumption???? It's important to realize that the two actually had a closed door private meeting which we do not know what was discussed .... Yet everybody is out there yelling ... "... IMPEACH.... TREASON .... The SKY is FALLING .... The SKY is FALLING...... IT's the END of the WORLD ...." .... Without even really knowing a single word of what was actually covered in their conversations.
Now they are standing up to Russia? Bam: I’ll have more flexibility after my election.
The left has no intention of strengthening America with anything they do. Certainly not under this President. Keep him under investigation through the election and see if they can impeach him if they gain control. Me thinks the private meeting yielded more bad news for the left than was publicly acknowledged.
My steps to answer that 1 question. I do not trust the gov that has/is lying to the people, and past pres obama tried to change an election in Israel. Hold them accountable first.. then we can talk.
I don’t recall Chuckie offering Obama 5 steps to stand up to Russia.
