Trump faces political and legal jeopardy from the Justice Department investigation of his 2016 campaign and Russia.
Against that backdrop, comments that Republican Sen. Ben Sasse called bizarre make sense: Trump spoke most emphatically in discrediting the Mueller investigation.
Former CIA Director John Brennan condemned Trumps words as nothing short of treasonous. Others, in less provocative terms, joined in harsh denunciations.
President Trumps stunning news conference with Vladimir Putin becomes understandable once you recognize that he was advancing his personal interests, not those of the United States.
Trump faces political and legal jeopardy from the Justice Department investigation of his 2016 campaign and Russia. His former campaign chief sits in jail. His former national security advisor has plead guilty to a felony and become a cooperating witness for special counsel Robert Mueller. Long dependent on Russian money in his businesses, Trump has balked at answering questions from prosecutors himself.
Against that backdrop, comments that Republican Sen. Ben Sasse called bizarre make sense. Trump spoke most emphatically in discrediting the Mueller investigation.
American intelligence agencies have concluded that Russia interfered in 2016 to help Trump defeat Hillary Clinton. I dont see any reason why Russia would have done so, Trump said, expressing confidence in Putin and noting the former KGB agents extremely strong and powerful denial.

I think the media is in full panic mode.
Conveniently forgotten: Obama to Medvedev, After the election, I will have more flexibility... The result? Dead silence from the media.
Thank you!
Yep.
Nope!
“...American intelligence agencies have concluded that Russia interfered in 2016 to help Trump defeat Hillary Clinton...”
Yep...They “concluded: this...without one scrap of evidence, but they are the “intelligence agencies”...They don’t NEED anything as mundane as PROOF....
They just CONCLUDE....
LIES, MORE LIES, AND STILL MORE LIES...
Trump pushed his personal agenda MAGA
I wonder how Obama would have felt if every single day all he heard was the ONLY reason why he won an election is because some foreign govt made it happen..not the people who voted for him and his agenda..yet here is the Commie media, saying over and over again that Donald Trump really didn’t win the election, that I didn’t vote for him for his agenda, because I did..could have given a rats behind about Clinton’s emails, I hate her guts, not for her emails, but for what she stands for!!! But the moment Trump won, the commies had to come up with a reason why they lost and they came up with this nonsense..because they can’t deal with the fact that we the people did NOT want Communism in America, PERIOD
That treasonous commie biatch, Johnny Brennan knows treason when he sees it. He’s been doing it since Trump got elected.
You’d think Trump would trust US intelligence services after they spied on him and his campaign and tried to overthrow the government. Any mentions of Bill Browder??
If peace and not being nuked into extinction is Trump’s personal agenda, I support it completely.
The Judicial Branch, with *suspicious timing,* attacked the Executive Branch again with the help of the media and the blessing of their most influential constituents.

That is a really good point.
I notice CNBC doesn’t allow comments. I wonder why.
Yeah, me too.
BTW, where were all these saber rattling idiots when Obama was promising to be flexible with Russia?
CNBC is Comcast. Not only does Comcast piss in your shoes every damn day, the behemoth is also struggling with the DOJ.
Conference was epic. Trump won’t accept the fake narrative and it drives them crazy. This time his counterpart was also hitting back at the media which made it hurt all the more
