A Tory-UKIP coalition could be the best thing for them.

Hard to have a coalition when one side has no seats in the House of Commons.

As far as Brexit goes, would Corbyn really be better than May?

It's not Brexit so much as the rest of Labour's policies. How well do you think Corbyn and Trump would get along? Admittedly it can't be much worse than his relationship with May, but Corbyn stands against just about everything Trump stands for.

This got brought up after BREXIT. Labour has two wings to it...the youth side which is like a Bernie Sanders machine, and the union-worker type which feels that Corbyn is a ‘joke’. Part of the mild success of UKIP was drawing small numbers of the union-worker crowd over.

If you had some rushed-up election...Corbyn isn’t really a dramatic element, and he’s mostly pro-BREXIT (he just doesn’t say it much).

That’s why I think this would be a fairly unusual election if May has to call for it. UKIP could make this about Tommy Robinson and BREXIT.

UKIP does need to get serious and stop playing like it’s just about getting out of the EU and that only.

You cant have a political party based on one issue, or just as a place for the “none of the above” flakes can park themselves for a few minutes.

You mentioned what the Queen might want.

What about William? What is his advice to his grandmother on this and other subjects?

1. The British people voted for Brexit.

2. May, who campaigned against Brexit and voted against it, was immediately placed in charge of enforcing it.

3. Why should anyone be surprised at what she is doing to cancel it?

From what I understand May’s rise was the result of the falling apart of a collation. She is unelected and unready for this position, and also doesn’t agree with Brexit.

No one in the royal family, as far as I know....does a lot of talking in public on Tommy Robinson, or BREXIT. About a year ago, there were some stories that Prince Philip was very pro-BREXIT. Prince Andrew is noted as a remainer.

The ‘water’ on BREXIT is being carried by PM May, and it’s only in the past couple of weeks where the public grasps the May plan in details.

Maybe if crown authority was young and pepped-up...they’d have more interest.

You can chat with Brits and there’s still a varied opinion. If there is NO trade-deal worked out with the EU, a major mess exists. All of the EU members ‘gave’ away their trade powers (at least they believe that). It might shock the EU to reach the deadline, with no trade deal....then suddenly watch Denmark and Poland walk in with draft agreements in their hands, and have a trade deal done in 72 hours. The EU wouldn’t be happy, but that’s how screwed up the whole thing is.

The suggestio of Brit banks moving to Frankfurt? Well, it has slowed down drastically. Rumor has it that the wives of the bankers put their foot down and said that Frankfurt is a fairly boring city with no lifestyle (they are halfway correct on that). The wives hint that they won’t move and that suggestion might be a problem that can’t be resolved.

There was a thread the other day about US corporations shifting their HQ from one US city to another US city. Of course, states offer tax incentives, and there is consideration of airport access, and housing costs, and quality of life, and access to talented labor pools, etc.

Someone noted that it really comes down to: “Where does the wife of the CEO want to live?”

I think there is more than a little truth in that.

My prospective (it was my first location upon joining the AF)...Frankfurt has a great Metro...used to be utterly safe (won’t say that today)...and the Sachsenhausen district used to be the best beer pub area in Germany. Today? The power-players that work there...pack up at 5, and leave for homes way outside of the shadow of Frankfurt.

Meanwhile, Trump just totally rolled over on his comments yesterday re: Brexit. Says May is doing a wonderful job, Brexit is tough and complicated and she’ll do it just fine.
