WASHINGTON Rod J. Rosenstein, the deputy attorney general, has asked federal prosecutors to help review the government documents of Judge Brett M. Kavanaugh, President Trumps Supreme Court nominee, according to a letter obtained by The New York Times on Wednesday.
Mr. Rosensteins request was an unusual insertion of politics into federal law enforcement. While the Justice Department has helped work on previous Supreme Court nominations, department lawyers in Washington typically carry out that task, not prosecutors who pursue criminal investigations nationwide.
But in an email sent this week to the nations 93 United States attorneys, Mr. Rosenstein asked each office to provide up to three federal prosecutors who can make this important project a priority for the next several weeks. Names were to be submitted to Mr. Rosensteins office by the end of Wednesday.

GET SOMETHING ON THIS GUY! Anything. Old parking tickets will do if they were issued by black or female cops Find a neighbor to say his lawn was untidy one week or his car was dirty once.
Sessions needs to fire him tomorrow. This is out of control.
Sessions is Attorney General? I thought it was Rosenstein. /s
It’s because Kavanaugh believes with Alan Dershowitz that presidents can’t be prosecuted but only impeached.
It screws with all his plans.
Sessions should fire the guy.
This guy gets more bizarre by the minute.
Whoa Nelly, this feels like a line being crossed.
There is no business of the FIB doing case analyses. I really don’t believe this report. But if substantiated with affidavit of FIB agents, this sorry bastard needs to be SACKED!!
Fire Sessions, Rosenstein and Mueller. Doesn’t matter how it “looks” to demonrats. Fire them NOW!
The snake is trying to brown-nose his boss. Fortunately his boss (I am CERTAIN) has long ago pegged him as a SNAKE who will be dealt with as soon as the “witch hunt” is over ...
If Sessions is not doing his job,and he clearly is not then fire him and get rid of this little turd too
Spit...
Has [rr] given over the previously requested documents?
+1
“It’s standard procedure.”
Bullshit, In the past a small group within the DOJ has supplied Congress with Summaries of a nominees cases, not TWO MILLION documents as per Schumer’s request. And certainly not Ninety-two Prosecutors collection every document a nominee and his staffs has produced.
DO YOU WANT THE DEMOCRATS TO BE ABLE TO DRAG THE HEARINGS OUT?
KAVANAUGH HAS A TRAIL OF DOCUMENTS MONUMENTALLY LONG!
Sessions is his boss on this one! Or has he recused himself from the whole DOJ?
It appears that Sessions took the AG job, then recused himself and now does just about NOTHING whatsoever, except to cash his paycheck.
TWO MILLION DOCUMENTS WOULD DRAG THE HEARING OUT TWO YEARS.
Did you read the damn article? Apparently, NOT.
This is a call for dirt.
Key being- prosecutors. Starr investigation files??? Slowing walking would not need prosecutors. MHO
