Is this like the story pitcher Don Sutton told about going to a rough bar in the Florida panhandle. He said they patted down every customer to see if he was armed - and if he wasn’t, they gave him a gun.

I was in San Diego visiting friends close to 40 years ago, and wanted to go 20 miles to Tijuana, just to go to Mexico.
They said, “Don’t go. It’s dirty and unsafe, and only underage Americans go there to drink.”
I heeded their advice.

Rule of thumb: don’t visit a country where tens of thousands of people are trying escape from. I smell liberals..they live in, work there and apparently tolerate San Fagcisco.
Great point; why would you go to a place where people want to get out of. The last time I was in Mexico was 1990 in Acapulco. The cops target tourists who are driving rental cars and shake them down. I had to keep a ten dollar bill in my shirt pocket to give to them every time they stopped me. Three times in one week for total BS reasons. Acapulco was corrupt then, but it is downright deadly now.

The exact same thing with the exact same people present could have just as easily taken place in Chicago, San Francisco, NYC, or any other sanctuary city.
