PHOENIX Ailing Arizona Sen. John McCain may be willing to give up his seat if it would help Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh be confirmed, a national political analyst said Tuesday.
ABC News analyst Alex Castellanos told KTAR News 92.3 FMs Arizonas Morning News, Theres some word that if McCain is not able to vote and his vote is needed, he might resign and let someone appoint a senator who would support this judge.

Judge Brett Kavanaugh has impeccable credentials & a strong record of
upholding the Constitution. He is widely respected as a fair, independent &
mainstream judge. I look forward to the Senate moving forward with a
fair & thorough confirmation process

On one hand, Gabby Giffords hates Kavanaugh.
On the other hand, John McCain likes him.
I am so torn.
“Some word” from who? Not from John McCain, who we have not heard a word from since December.
This sounds nice but since when has senator McShame helped the country ( or supported anything PDJT has tried to do)? It feels Im missing something - like theres more to this story - or?
You see, here's the thing about that. This represents a once in a generation opportunity to impact the oligarchy - err, I mean court - that rules us - err, I mean ... well actually I mean rules us.
So anyway this is a once in a generation chance to actually effect that in a meaningful way, not just replace a "conservative" with a "conservative". If they block that, it will get them plenty of praise in the press, it will get them invitations to parties.
But will republican donors still fund their campaigns?
” That probably means he is a creature of the Swamp. That I dont like.”
Same here. If ass clonw here made a dramatic entrance like last time just to piss off Trump, then I think Trump made the right decision. Then again, he did pick Sessions...
BULL SHIT The confirmation vote will be held in September AFTER THE ARIZONA PRIMARY ELECTION. McCain is holding off resigning until after the primary so Governor Ducey wont be adversely affected by who he chooses to be McCain;s replacement. I strongly suspect that Ducey and McCain have already agreed who will be the replacement.
In this day and age, why aret legislators able to vote from home?
****************
I do believe it will in the mix before too many years. We today’s communication tools I can see a each senator with an office somewhere in their home state that has telecommunication hookup, such that the person can be seen and heard as they preform
their duties.
No doubt McCain wants the stage. However, I will not ever forgive him.
NOW he does it? Where has this bull-kaka been for the past few months????? A typical hypocrite to the end.
"Someone"? Does Alex Castellanos, ABC analyst, have a clue?
Yep. Occam’s Razor. The most likely scenario is usually the correct one.
That is dumb logic. John McCain has voted for every GOP-picked Supreme Court justice. Are Clarence Thomas, Samuel Alito and Neil Gorsuch bad too? Maybe McCain simply wants to move the Court to the right, and there's not some nefarious deep state swamp conspiracy behind it.
What a diaper load. The right thing to do was to resign at the first of the year when he knew he was done. We haven’t had full senate representation in AZ this year at all and only half-ass representation before that. Plus our other senator is a full blown leftist RINO.
No. McLame the RINOsaurus had plenty of chances to do right by AZ and America in general before this. He doesn’t get to look good now for doing the inevitable.
I want to see him prosecuted to the full extent of the law. I don’t care if he’s dead. I want his crimes on the record for all of history to see and know about. Move over Benedict Arnold; there’s a new worst American traitor. I want to know how many Americans and other nationalities he got killed by his shenanigans.
I'm sure she has a huge portfolio which she doesn't want to disclose or put in trust.
She did make John sign a pre-nup.
Probably not. Arizona law spells out the
appointment process for their state.
He has a mountain of negatives to overcome, but at least it could be departing on a high note.
I think someone is the Governor and the likely senator would be, let me guess...she shares the same last name as the current senator.
Yes. He should have resigned months ago.
He’s now in a perfect negotiating position, take the deal to appoint Cindy as replacement or I’ll vote against your guy.
