When I read the actual stories under those headlines, my reaction turned from dread to outrage. Jim Jordan isn’t being accused; he’s being railroaded.

The accusations did not describe the man of character and courage I’ve known for more than a decade. When I read the actual stories under those headlines, my reaction turned from dread to outrage. Jordan isn’t being accused; he’s being railroaded.
Jordan, as you may know, was a two-time NCAA Division I national champion wrestler. After graduating from college, he became an assistant wrestling coach at Ohio State University, from 1986 to 1994. This was during the decades-long career of the now deceased OSU doctor Richard Strauss, who has now been accused of sexual abuse by former OSU athletes. The university just launched an investigation in April of the claims that date back three decades.

Better question: did each of them get a big new SUV? A little bounce to their bank accounts? Maybe a 14 day cruise somewhere? What would be enough to motivate them to come out now, with these stories?
If the MSM had an iota of integrity, they would be looking into what is NOW motivating these men to come up with this story to tarnish Jordan. JMHO
We’ve heard the allegations that Jim Jordan report the abuse, but we haven’t heard what the abuse was. Was this doctor sodomizing them? Was he groping them in a non-medical manner? Did he ask them to kiss it? Or tell them to put some ice on it? What exactly was this abuse that went unreported for decades? Why were only the wrestlers under Jim Jordan’s supervision abused? No baseball players, soccer players, football players have come forward. Curious.

I made the same argument on Gateway. College wrestlers are not 12 year old football campers nor are they female college gymnasts. And the fact that this team physician did not end up in an ER is way more than curious.

Don't forget that some boys LIKE being molested.
Apparently he did a hernia check every time he examined a wrestler, for any reason. A medical check, but overly used.
The guys talked in the locker room, and decided the doctor made them uncomfortable, but apparently now enough to make an actual complaint - just to gripe to the assistant coach informally.
The problem is, how does one decide the difference between locker room BS and real complaints?

I don’t want to make light of sexual harassment, but does anyone find it strange that young wrestlers who I assume are pretty strong men who can take care of themselves allow a doctor to sexually harass them?
I’ve never been in this position before, but if it happened to me, I think I would most likely commence to putting a beat down on said doctor and then report him. Sexual harassment happens most of the time because the person doing the sexual harassment holds a power position over the victim. I ask you, what kind of power does a team doctor hold? He surely can’t get any of these wrestlers kicked off the team, especially one who is apparently Olympic material. If anything, I would think they hold the power over him. I’m just saying that this situation seems very odd to me to be believable.
