Judge rejects government bid to reopen activist rancher case

A judge's decision not to let federal prosecutors reopen the criminal case against Cliven Bundy, his sons and supporters in a 2014 armed standoff with government agents could amount to the final act in the case, a lawyer for the Nevada rancher and states' rights activist said Friday.

"It's the final nail in the coffin, and completely expected," attorney Bret Whipple said of the ruling in the criminal case that was filed in 2016 against 19 defendants and collapsed last December in a mistrial due to "flagrant misconduct" by prosecutors.

Chief U.S. District Judge Gloria Navarro said again in a filing Tuesday that prosecutors "willfully" failed to disclose to defense lawyers evidence that government agents provoked the Bundy family into calling supporters to their defense by acts "such as the insertion and positioning of snipers and cameras surveilling the Bundy home."

Now they need to send some government people to prison for an equal amount of time for their own criminal conduct.

And the Quisling Judge should have held them in Contempt, Remanded them for 90 days and sent a Referral the The BAR Association for Permanent Disbarment.

As far as I know, prosecutors and judges are prosecuted for these type acts. Not too long ago we put a judge in prison in Williamson County, Texas.

He only allowed a man to spend 20 years in prison KNOWING of evidence that would exculpate him.

The Bundy’s spent a couple years each in jail. These prosecutors should be locked up at least that much and in the same cells with the same view.

He supported the case until he found out about the hiding of evidence. And while the government resubmitted, they knew they would lose. You just have to see it to its end.

One other thing that caught my eye when this was all going down:

The Federal Government had the largest backhoe I have EVER seen—and Nevada is a mining state-— which the Feds claimed was to be used to ‘round up cattle’.

Mother cows & calves could certainly outrun such a backhoe-—and ‘using it to round them up was such a lie that the media swallowed.

The Feds killed many of Bundy’s cows & one bull-—from a helicopter. That is NOT ROUNDING THEM UP !!! They knew from the beginning that they intended to kill Bundy’s cattle & backhoe them....

The feds lied from the beginning about the Bundy’s.

Am I right in thinking Sessions would have to sign off on this attempt to take the Bundy’s to task AGAIN?

If so, I sure wouldn’t think highly of his nod to do it.

Bunkersville is a watershed moment in American history.

The elephant in the room, where Big Brother trembled and blinked.

Awesome news- the tyrannical judges and prosecutors have been slapped down- and rightfully so- what a travesty of justice their actions have been against those they hated and tried to criminally railroad

I have lost confidence in our “legal” system. There is so much corruption everywhere and we have only ONE President Trump. My confidence will be further eroded if everyone involved in this, at the federal, state and local level, walk away unpunished.

“Jeff Sessions is deeply saddened. “

He’s dangerous as well as useless. AG can control all federal prosecutions so this didn’t go on without his assent. But then Rosenfeinstein seems to be calling all the shots.

I seem to recall that little jeffery was praising the prosecutors as being the greatest.

As usual, little jeffery is the complete fool on this one.
