Its now illegal in California to shower and do laundry on the same day, my husband read out loud to me a few weeks ago.
How are they going to police that? I wondered.
It doesnt matter, he replied. California is so out of touch with reality that it just doesnt matter anymore.
It saddens me to watch my former home state implode, but thats precisely what is happening. California has been called the worlds largest insane asylum, and as headline piles upon headline illustrating the latest madness, the description seems apt.
Its no wonder people are fleeing the Golden State in droves. What is the incentive to stay when taxes are sky-high, regulations are draconian and capricious, crime is rampant, infrastructure is crumbling, and politicians are so out of touch with reality they think they can make it illegal to shower and do laundry on the same day?
Housing prices, of course, are famously irrational. In Sunnyvale, a modest 848-square-foot home on a tiny lot gained national notoriety for its selling price. After being listed in March for $1.45 million, it sold within 48 hours for $2 million, or $2,358 per square foot, noted ZeroHedge. With Sunnyvales 1.25 percent property tax, the new owners are paying $2,083 per month, or $250,000 every 10 years.
Its more than just the insane cost of living in the state. Many people are also fleeing the insane policies. Entrepreneur and venture capitalist Peter Thiel (a co-founder of PayPal and an early Facebook investor) says its one thing for a culture to be quite liberal and another for it to be totalitarian. Dissenting opinions are not permitted. If you dont believe me, walk onto any California college campus with a MAGA hat and see how long you last.

Calif. is apparently already broken.
I paid $3.45 for mid grade last week. And yesterday we showered and did the laundry.
LOL,
all I can do is laugh at the fools who live in CALI
They refuse to vote out the socialist Progressive Communists
They follow along like sheep to the slaughter
They allow criminals to run their state government
Yeah Well ...LOL
California’s progressive government lives off debt and printed money only.
Yep.
How can anyone afford to live and eat with rates like this? Then, while paying these outrageous prices, elect officials that want to open more borders to illegals that bring in drugs, consume welfare, break laws and will steal what little property you have.
The logic defies all reason.
Yeah... And now they are leaving to go to other states and vote in the same idiotic laws and regulations that they just proved don’t work.
Insanity is doing the same thing over agian and expecting different results.
“That’s not how we did it back in Cali...........” ;-)
For me (a CA native) and mine, it was 1986.
bump
Given that California doesn’t have enough water, It actually makes sense to ration it.
Of course, they could concentrate on solving the water source issue, for instance by building desalinization plants, but they would rather spend the money on highspeed rail.
Saddened to admit this, but I find California merely an American learning experience each day. Californians are the puzzled victims of their very OWN voting records.
The insanity that is Cali today is simply the result of the actions of the government voted into office time after time after time. We are seeing Venezuala and Central Amrica within our own borders. Once proud cities being turned into sewers.
People who are able flee, bringing their foolishness with them to infect their new refuge.
maybe the wall should be built around CALIFORNIA, to keep them IN.
About cali being split into three... I would only support it if it was 1 state and 2 federal territories. That would both reduce the federal power of cali and give the rest of the country some control on what would come out of that mess.
What do they do? Have the water company monitor your usage and add a charge if you use too much?
Didn’t CA just pass a law that makes it impossible to convict someone of a crime? All they have to do is get a psych to say childhood trauma or something and they get off with unsupervised probation?
The article is full of innacurate information. There is no law or regulation against showering and doing laundry on the same day.
