Given that California doesn’t have enough water, It actually makes sense to ration it.
Of course, they could concentrate on solving the water source issue, for instance by building desalinization plants, but they would rather spend the money on highspeed rail.

California has enough water. It is what they are doing with it that is the problem.

Sending millions of usable water into the ‘Delta’ to ‘protect’ a small fish called the Delta Smelt is the problem. That fish is not eatable....doesn’t work for bait....and it NOT a native to Calif.

However, Thousands of acres in the central San Joaquin Valley have been turned to waste by taking that water from the farmers that feed this country & sending it into the Delta & to the ocean.

Taking down dams & refusing to build more water reservoirs is also the problem.

I believe Israel offered to help with the desalination plants. Thanks to this technology, Israel no longer has a water shortage. But since today’s libs are also mostly anti-Semites, of course they said no.

Or they could just reinstall the dams and other water conservation measures that the Gov. Jerry Brown liberals destroyed to “protect the environment” and critters. - CA has plenty of H2o, its just they do not collect it and let most of it run into the ocean for the ‘fish”, while destroying the most productive farms in the nation ... its for the children and the environment you know ...

MD thought taxing rain was a good idea now we have a great republican Governor.Liberals want it all and they want it now.be careful what you wish for.imagine California in 20 years.even the best case senario will be problematic.

Actually it has enough water. The problem is that the left has blocked dams and reservoirs and has returned some areas back to “nature”

By the way Georgia has its own water issues

It isn’t a water source problem, it’s a brain dead liberal problem. California has a cyclic drought weather pattern. However the idiot politicians ruled that the rivers must run to support the fish in the streams that they put there. So they required the reservoirs be drained out to sea to keep the river water level high all summer long.
