Good evening, radu... HOT! HOT! HOT! Broke a record today they said...80! YIKES!!
I think we have enough fans. 2 in the guest room. 2 in my room and the big box fan in the living room. I have one more box fan if need be.
Sitting and reading is the order of the day tomorrow. Maybe a little time on the deck to dispel the Casper feeling. LOL!
Are you ready for more rain? I will water in the morning.
Poor Gizmo. Critters aren’t fond of the racket of fireworks.
A few of our cats aren’t bothered but most get a bit freaked out. We’ve had fireworks going off around here for about a week now and tomorrow night ..... er, tonight will be really noisy.
Fun for all of us but our critters will be glad when it’s all over. :-)
I have the same problem. I’m always afraid if I’m very late that you’ll think I’ve forgotten altogether. LOL!
Guess I’ll head out now. My eyelids are getting very heavy.
I hope he doesn’t get to scared. Will y’all be going to the lake later in the afternoon?

I guess we don’t have katydids. We have crickets sometimes but it’s been so dry these past few years that I think it killed them all off. I haven’t seen one of them or a cicada in a very long time. I heard a cicada the other day, and it’s the first and last for years! They can’t dig themselves out of this hard packed ground.

Dang! That IS pretty toasty for your neck o’ the woods! That’s A/C weather. AJ’s more used to the heat than you are and it probably feels fairly decent to him compared the heat at home. It’s been ugly hot down in this part of the country.
Sitting and reading sounds like a great plan. If there’s a breeze blowing, it’ll probably feel nice sitting outside on the deck.
There’s a chance for pop-up showers tomorrow but who knows where they’ll pop up? There were a few around the state today but nothing here. If it’s going to rain here, it’ll do it when it’s time to head to the grocery store. LOL

We have crickets around here and I enjoy listening to them too. They come out a lot earlier in the year and are around longer than the katydids.
I haven’t heard many cicadas this year.
Kittehs are doing well other than being wound up from hearing fireworks the past several days.

If you get a chance take a peek at the downtown cameras...it’s almost 11:30p and the fireworks have a tough time being seen except if you downtown with them.
And, you're right Radu, critters aren't big fans of fireworks but in a small town like we have here, the fireworks are within sounding distance and there's not much you can do.
I'm going to try to have noises cover up the fireworks in the bedroom tonight so Gizmo won't have to deal with them, but needless to say dogs ears are much more perky than human ears.
It’s always a shock to see how light it is up there this late at night.
I wish the downtown cams were live stream rather than occasional stills. Do you know which cam will be best aimed towards where they’ll be shooting the fireworks from?
I hope kids aren’t around the lake with firecrackers so you and Gizmo can enjoy your walk in peace.
We’re surrounded by people shooting off fireworks from their homes on the 4th and it sounds like a war zone for a few hours. The past few nights, there have just been a few people shooting them off here and there but it’s still been noisy enough to spook the cats. They sell some cool, BIG fireworks at the tents set up all over the place.
It will be quiet again soon and our critters can relax ..... until the next big thunderstorms blow through. :-)
