A senior White House official says President Trump will push for the swift confirmation of a Supreme Court justice "before the midterm elections."

A list of well-established conservatives is in place, so a nomination is expected to come "within weeks," the official said.

I hate to be a turd in the punchbowl, but it wouldn't surprise me a bit if the Senate RINO’s (Collins, Flake, Etc.) demanded a “consensus candidate” that had the democrat stamp of approval. Remember, with 51 votes they can only afford to lose one vote (though they might get Manchin or Heidicamp).

Good move. Those Dems that are on the bubble for re-election will have to pony up to the bar and decide whether they will join the obstructionists but piss off the Trump supporting electorate in their states, or swallow hard and vote to support the nominee. They will do all they can to delay the vote using the argument that any vote should wait until Mueller finishes his investigation (Rush’s theory this a.m.).
