Four days after the owner of the Red Hen restaurant stirred national debate by asking White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders to leave her establishment, all the fire and ire of social media was made flesh at the corners of Washington and Randolph streets.
The quaint red restaurant, its dirty green awnings made famous by a disapproving tweet Monday from President Trump, was scheduled to open for dinner service at 5 p.m. Protesters began showing up around 3.
At first, it was just two guys holding Trump banners, a Confederate flag and a Corey Stewart for U.S. Senate sign. Standing in a steady rain, mobbed by three or four TV crews who had been stationed across from the darkened restaurant since morning, the pair said they were there to call for civility.
Just to let these people know that we dont appreciate their communism and their kicking out our public servant, said Chris Wayne, 35, of Monterey

“It does not sound as if they are staying on topic”

All they’re really trying to “stay on” is the *camera*.
“It costs money to keep a place open.”
It costs money to keep a place closed as well. Taxes, insurance, maybe rent ....like a construction company with a leased backhoe and no job to send it to.
simple food
deranged proprietor
Yep. That’s the truth isn’t it.
At the end of the month, you have all those bills to pay.
Not only did she seriously hurt her own concern, she also unemployed her staff.
Her suppliers suffer. Her creditors suffer.
Well, this is a teachable moment for Leftists.
Now the idiots are out and the circus begins.
Hm. Red Chickens Coming Home to ROOST!!
Soros- financed false flag garbage, IMO!
Tacky awnings.
#8. “Chicken Shit Happened” to her restaurant.
LOL, looks like the left paid some protesters in an attempt to make the other side look bad again. They are so predictable. Next will come the vandalizing they’ll do themselves and say it was republicans.
Why bring a confederate flag? So liberals could be happy?
Well here is the latest from the Red Hen’s Gofundme page, three accounts set up to raise money. They have got some but very far from the goals they wanted.

Or maybe - who knows? Conservatives and Republicans and Trumpers don’t have tattoos to identify themselves (yet) so who really knows which group will be making reservations in the future? How about a reservation for the “Candy Rustin” party (that would be Mrs. Ben Carson - wouldn’t you love to see the libs kick a black man out and try to convince the world it was because he works for Trump?).
It’s gonna be hell for Ms. Wilkinson because she won’t have any way of knowing who to discriminate against next!
No examples given, of course. If she tried to give examples, they would all be factually incorrect.
Not just her business but everyone on the block. Those protestors are taking up parking spaces and sidewalk space even across the street and likely down the block. If I was one of the other business owners I’d be POd as hell over the loss of business and revenue. Who wants to take their loved one out to a hotbed of political protest? I mean other than a liberal sociopath?
Only 100 donations after 2 days. Not so good, Al.
Then, the video will appear that proves it was actually their doing. However, the MSM won't cover that.
More good points. You’re right.

Apparently these fools know little about the restaurant business to pull such a dumbassed stunt like this. Now matter how popular a restaurant is, the odds are stacked against them, for reasons having nothing to do with politics. My Dad and uncle ran a wholesale food business, servicing the restaurants around NYC when I was a kid. As lucrative as it was, they spent most of their time seeking new customers for this reason. Any support they gained from the Trump hating psychopaths is more than dwarfed by the negative publicity. The court of public opinion is speaking for itself. What sweet irony it would be if this overpriced dive were to go under and replaced with a Chick Fil A.
