While I don’t like what the owner did, they took Sarah aside and quietly asked her to leave. This is just like the baker and the cake. If the employee had not brought it to the media’s attention, it would not be news. I agree that Trump should have called out the cretons standing at the table of the staff member and shouting at them and forcing them to leave the restaurant. THAT owner should be held accountable for not making the cretons leave. They were disturbing every person eating there. On this though, President Trump should have let it go Elsa...
But there are consequences for everything ... and in this case, anyone (including President Trump) has every right to complain about the restaurant.
He should have called out the people harassing Kirtsjen Neilson, especially since one of them worked at the DOJ.
A better Tweet would have been to go after Maxine Waters for her endorsement of harassing all of his people. She’s a public figure. The media wouldn’t attack him for doing that, and her comments deserve pushback.
Here's an idea. If the owner treated Sarah like a human being instead kicking her to the curb like a dog of a dog in a cheap attempt at virtue signaling, it would not be news.
Imagine a world where conservatives are denied a seat in restaurants, kicked out of barber shops, denied a right to buy groceries, kicked out of a hospital. Sound ok to you? It doesn't to me. This behavior deserves a huge callout.
I would voice this odd part of the story....the owner didn’t really want to take charge and make the decision. So the owner asked the employees to take a vote. Once the vote was accomplished, that’s when the owner told the waitress to take the action.
This, in my humble opinion....is an owner who is incapable of leading or managing a business front. Once you cross the line and make this all an employee-vote thing, you might as well stay home....prepare for eventual financial losses...and read up on bankruptcy. I just don’t see this business being around in twelve months.
I call baloney.
Sarah had a reservation and the woman and the staff knew she was showing up with an entourage. They waited till she was seated and eating in order to cause the greatest amount of psychological damage.
They started this tweet war and they will not like how it ends.
Check this article out. The owner did not just ask Sarah to leave:
I hear that the dead hen owners followed the family to the restaurant accross the street and organized a protest there.
This is just like the baker and the cake.”
So, Sarah’s job and politics violated their religious beliefs?
How do you know what they did? It didn’t say anywhere that they “quietly took her aside,” that’s just your take. You are defending these people who kicked out a customer based solely on her job working for the President. Who knows how “quietly” they did this, since it made national news? You are just reflexively saying “now, now let’s all just be nice and orderly while the nazi’s lead us discretely to the showers.” We’re not all a bunch of appeasers.
...then followed Sanders and her group to the next restaurant.
