Perhaps but I think in this Trump era our biggest fail has been in not protecting our women folk from the abuse, by discrediting and disqualifying their abusers.

“The market will determine how this should be addressed and ALL the businesses in Lexington will suffer for it”

If the Business Association that the Red Hens owner is the head of does not drum her out of that position then Lexington businesses are own their own. If they do the right thing other local eateries will pick up the Red Hens lost Customers, a win/win.

Having said that I question whether the business owners have the guts to can her ass. There will be reprisals for doing the right thing from the dirty masses known as SJW, ANTIFA, and everyday DemonRats.

I am pretty sure that Obama called out Chick-Fil-A during his presidency.

And look how bad it turned out for them! (/s)

From WaPo......Justice Anthony M. Kennedy’s 7-to-2 decision focused on what he described as religious bias on the part of Colorado Civil Rights Commission members who ruled against baker Jack Phillips, who owns Masterpiece Cakeshop. “The neutral and respectful consideration to which Phillips was entitled was compromised here,” Kennedy wrote, adding that the commission’s decision that the baker violated the state’s anti-discrimination law must be set aside.

Didn’t the Trump administration have the Solicitor General file a friend-of-the-court brief in support of the Colorado baker who went to court to support his position that he could deny service to people?

You should really read up on federal law you do not have the right to do this. Why? Because every restaurant needs state licenses to operate which requires abiding by civil right state and federal guidelines.

You can refuse service for health or safety reasons, or because you do not provide a specific service, or have specific dress codes, but not because you just don’t feel like serving someone due to their race, religion or politics. UNLESS the people are vocalizing about their race, religion and politics causing a disruption.

“If the converse happened and a conservative kicked out Obama’s Press Secretary, of course the media would be up in arms about it, but I think we wouldn’t like it if Obama called it out.”

Really? I would have found it bizarre if Obama never spoke out about a leading member of his administration being targeted and discriminated against openly. I wouldn’t have disliked it; I would have seen it as natural and expected. I also would have been embarrassed if anybody on our side acted in such an unexpectedly rude way and displayed such closed-minded intolerance towards customers.

The Red Hen opened a can of worms denying Sanders service.

Can you name a similar incident in the previous nine years where a Leftist was denied service by a conservative on the basis of politics?

This would be extremely rare, if one can even be found.

What we are seeing needs to be brought to the light of day and denounced by everyone, everywhere. This is more than a “free market” issue and Trump is right to bring it up in the most vocal, derisive, and derogatory way.

Of course, consumers should practice their right not to patronize such a scummy organization as well.

Sarah should have heeded Trump’s rule: Dirty outside; dirty inside and avoided the place to begin with.

I would voice this odd part of the story....the owner didn’t really want to take charge and make the decision. So the owner asked the employees to take a vote. Once the vote was accomplished, that’s when the owner told the waitress to take the action.

This, in my humble opinion....is an owner who is incapable of leading or managing a business front. Once you cross the line and make this all an employee-vote thing, you might as well stay home....prepare for eventual financial losses...and read up on bankruptcy. I just don’t see this business being around in twelve months.

It’s amazing how many Freepers don’t get President Trump. It’s not about the restaurant, it’s about getting the media to trip over themselves covering his tweet. Trolling is an art form and Trump is the master!

Thanks for sharing....good to have the legal facts.

Fox just reported that the Red Hen had a black and white sign in the window that said something like "Love is the only way to turn an enemy into a friend "Hypocrites!"

Bet they'll be replacing it with a "right to refuse service" sign since Sarah Sanders was there or will be adding one very soon.
