A panel of pollsters is predicting that Democrats will win back 23 seats in this year’s midterm elections, enough to win back the house majority.
Hill.TV’s “What America’s Thinking” canvassed its panel of pollsters on how many seats Democrats will gain.
The average answer for the first-ever Poll of Pollsters was 23 seats, the show announced Friday.
That’s exactly the number that Democrats need to flip control of the chamber from Republicans. (What a coincidence)
“I feel like if 2016 taught us nothing, it is we should not make predictions. So I’m doing this under duress I’ll have you know,” joked pollster Anna Greenberg, who predicted Democrats would gain 25 seats.
Republican pollster Ed Goeas of the Tarrance Group predicted it was a “better than even chance” that Democrats reclaim control of the House for the first time in eight years.
He predicted Democrats would net 23 seats.
Carly Cooperman, a partner at Schoen Consulting and a Democratic pollster, predicted a gain of 24 seats. “We see the generic vote is in the Democratic favor and a lot of the competitive seats are held by Republicans,” she said.
Former Clinton pollster Mark Penn predicted a gain of 28 seats for Democrats.
The Poll of Pollsters is an unscientific survey. It canvasses about two-dozen top pollsters in the country on a question of public interest and then averages the total of the answers.

I recall reading Rasmussen earlier this week and it had the Dems with a 4% lead in the generic Congressional poll (if that is the correct term to use). That’s a lead, but likely no real great shakes in terms of taking back the House.

We’ll see what happens, but this election seems like a no-brainer. Just mail a postcard with Pelosi’s pic on it to every Republican in a swing district. “Get your @ss to the polls, or this is third in line to be president.”

This is interesting, but the new babies at the zoo are interesting too. They don’t name all of the pollsters, they don’t say if these guys are using their data, or just their guess based on historical results. In other words, this is not very credible, but certainly a possibility.

Well, they’ve picked up nearly 50 seats. That’s nothing to sneeze at. The RNC better have their A game on. They are running against the Democrats and the media. The Democrats have 91% of the coverage on their side.

Harry Reid was the first to sign-up. Even some of the old Democrat broads, who haven't had any in years, signed up for the all-star sex-relay team. Barbara Mikulski, Dianne Feinstein, Nancy Pelosi.....to name a few.
Once-A-Day Sandra Fluck, "The Crotch that ate DC" and Texas loser...Abortion Barbie-Wendy (who will do anyone for a buck)...were also on-hand.

I saw a poll about a month ago that had the generic Republicans leading with 6.2%.
So, these polls are all over the place.
Must have been conducted by the same individuals who said Hillary had a 98% chance of winning the presidential election.
Yes, true, but the special elections for vacated House seats....Republicans won 6 or 7 of them.
I think the only one they lost was in western Pennsylvania, and the democrat ran a campaign that made him sound like a MAGA Trump Republican.
