Can Trump “un-appoint” him?

Yes, Sessions had nothing to do with her.

Benedict Arnold was a national hero compared to the traitorous McCain. I have a visceral hate for that punk due to how he used his veteran status to manipulate people and due to his constant and consistent lying.

Yep, Kerner’s appointment by the Trump admin is something that should now be rectified.

I hate to sound like a Debbie Downer but it is crystal clear Trump is not in control of his admin.

Yeah, especially since some of us want to dump his body in a rice paddy in Viet Nam.

I cant think of any company or organization larger than the US govt. Any CEO or large org leader knows that you have to delegate, that you have to pick good deputies. Also decisions to fire lower level personnel are not where President Trumps time and attention should focused. With all of what he has done in 500 days, with no help from Congress to boot, I think I can make allowances for Kerner’s lower level appointment and the process of getting rid of him, now that he has been called out.

I do admit that ongoing issues with DOJ personnel are concerning, but I think he is picking his battle with the goal of winning the war in mind. Slowly, the tide has turned on the deep state. More will happen, I am pretty confident. Patience is a virtue.

The 2016 election was probably like torture for him. I hope.

Maybe that's what precipitated the glioblastoma?

More winning!

“All the more reason he should have been stripped of office, prosecuted and convicted, and sent into isolation after the Keating 5 scandal.”

George H.W. Bush was president during the Keating 5 scandal. His Justice Department made the decision not to prosecute McCain and the other 4 scoundrels who seemed to be minimally involved in influence peddling. Why?

A logical explanation is another member of the Keating 5 was Senator John Glenn, the first American in space. The implication of a successful prosecution of the 5 Senators would be America’s astronaut hero going to prison. It is possible Bush did not want to the publicity of such a prosecution.

A second explanation is “separation of powers” between the executive and legislative branch. Bush may have felt Congress should investigate and punish its own members. Prosecuting 5 US Senators would have set a significant precedent which in the future could have precipitated political prosecutions. Given 4 of the 5 Keating Senators were Democrats, no doubt the press and the Democrats in Congress would have pilloried Bush for prosecuting the 4 Dems.

A third explanation is McCain had dirt on Bush.

A fourth explanation is a prosecution would have opened Pandora’s box and revealed even more corruption in Congress, potentially resulting in a loss of citizen confidence in the system.

Whatever the reason, a decision was made by the Bush DOJ, or Bush himself not to prosecute criminal activity by five members of the US Senate. Very sad for the country.

YES! The person that recommended Kerner needs to be FIRED today also!

Let's be honest, there are a lot of people in D.C. that need to be shown the door - there are a lot of worthless/corrupt people like Kerner holding down government jobs.

When will Trump fire Henry Kerner?
When will Lerner go to jail?

Color me unsurprised. McCain has a long history of treasonous behavior. He may not be a “Manchurian Candidate” as portrayed in the movie, but he made a very good “Vietnamese” candidate as claimed by several of his fellow prisoners at the Hanoi Hilton.

I voted for the SOB for President, hoping against hope that he might die in office and thus elevate Sarah Palin to the job. She was the only bright spot in his campaign and now he has recently claimed that he was sorry he chose her for his running mate.

Nice guy. NOT!

Agree. But, In this particular situation- I find Kerner & McCain at more fault than Lerner. It was their idea, their pushing. Lerner carried it out which was illegal. This (most likely) never would have occurred without McCain and Kerner- and God knows who else. McCain and Kerner conspired first.

It certainly makes even more sense why Lerner took the fifth. She was ‘taking one for the team’. Team Democrats and the swamp.
