NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) – Mayor Bill de Blasio’s son Dante has jumped into the debate over his father’s controversial plan to diversify New York’s elite public schools.
Dante de Blasio wrote an op-ed in the New York Daily News, supporting the mayor’s call to change admissions standards at eight schools in the city. One of those schools would be Brooklyn Tech, where Dante graduated from in 2015.
The mayor’s son also made inflammatory accusations about the public school system and classmates, claiming he was the victim of racism while in school.

I agree - I see overt racism everywhere from government hiring practices, to college admissions and scholarships, to slanted history and constant smear campaigns in the media.
It is directed at whites.
These snowflakes are becoming so stupid that they’ll start wanting to prosecute good folks for preferring pizza to fried chicken on the lunch menu.

The NYC specialized schools require an admissions exam. DeBlasio wants to destroy them with racial quotas.
I’m a proud Tech graduate. It was quite a place over half a century ago.

That was my experience when I myself attended NYC public schools. In all my years there, never ONCE did I see white-on-black violence. The other way around? Almost every single day.
Fortunately for me, I was able to secure a bit of a reputation while still in junior high, and so “that crazy white girl” (yours truly) was always given a wide berth. Of course, it didn’t hurt that I was a six-footer, in perfect physical shape, and most frightening of all...a REDHEAD.

Let's see; it's taught in all the public and non Christian private schools now. The parents do their part in talking smack about the crackers. Gangs reinforce it. By the time they get to prison they are well versed in hating whitey.
I agree there is way to much racism in public schools........directed at White children!
I was one of those white kids bussed across town to a mostly black school back in the 70’s.
A marshmallow in hot chocolate...the black on white racism was scalding.
What about Asians? Oh thats right, Asians are not minorities.
White liberals and teachers’ unions are the real racists because they force poor inner city black children to go to public schools that don’t care about their education. School choice is the only way to really care about black children.
