There’s two ways to look at this.

1. Manafort is a pawn in this elaborate 3-D game of chess that Trump is playing. As such, he is expendable and Trump can afford the loss.

2. Manafort is but the latest pawn to be captured. And Trump has not taken ANY of his opponents pieces. Except for Comey. If Trump keeps allowing minor pieces to fall - he will soon see knights and bishops captured, and then what?

Yes. You have to wait to see how things wok out before you scream about the things you see DJT doing that it seems he should not be doing and the things he seems to be not doing that you think he should be doing. His record on keeping campaign promises, if you consider completed processes is 100%. I The biggest promise he made is to Drain the Swamp. That is not a simple thing to do. He could not simply fire all the miscreants upon being inaugurated. He has to find out who they all are first and he has to investigate enough and cause them to out themselves enough to put the really deserving ones in jail. He has to get the people behind him for all that, which takes time and takes the continuing self outing that is happening right along to build cases that even the MSM can't damage.

I remember one other thing he said on in the campaign that I more and more see as a real campaign promise. He said to Hillary "You'd be in jail."
