White House counselor Kellyanne Conway's husband on Monday released an article defending the constitutionality of special counsel Robert Mueller's probe into alleged ties between the Trump campaign and Russian election meddling.
The piece, titled "The Terrible Arguments Against the Constitutionality of the Mueller Investigation," takes aim at President Trump's recent Twitter attacks on the probe, in which the president argues the investigation is unconstitutional.
Conway points out the initial spelling errors in the tweet and said he most likely got his argument from conservative legal scholar Steven Calabresi.
"Unfortunately for the president, these writings are no more correct than the spelling in his original tweet. And in light of the presidents apparent embrace of Calabresis conclusions, it is well worth taking a close look at Calabresis argument in support of those conclusions," he writes.
Calabresi has argued that Mueller's probe is "null and void" because it violates the Appointments Clause of the Constitution, Article II, Section 2, Clause 2.
"The 'constitutional' arguments made against the special counsel do not meet that standard and had little more rigor than the tweet that promoted them. Such a lack of rigor, sadly, has been a disturbing trend in much of the politically charged public discourse about the law lately, and one that lawyers regardless of their politics owe a duty to abjure," Conway said.
This is not the first time Conway has criticized his wife's boss.
Conway previously shared commentary by a Politico reporter critiquing Trumps claim on the constitutionality of the probe:

I never trusted Kellyanne completely- way before she worked for Cruz or Trump.
Her husband? Pppffttt..
George Conway is a complete prick. Whether he agrees with his wifes boss or not, you dont publicly embarrass your spouse. Kellyanne is fast becoming expendable because of her husband.
This has been going on for a long time. He has been Tweeting in support of the probe and against Trump for a while. Kellyanne got mad at Dana Bash when Dana Bash asked, but I actually thought Dana asked a valid question. I don’t know how he can so openly do this when his wife is in the position she’s in, but he is. In what other situation can a husband so openly try to undermine his wife’s boss?

Comments BUMP!
I agree she should resign. Her position is being used by him to elevate his own ignorant ideas. She has not been able to squash this embarrassment. Or she has not tried or wanted to. Either way, this needs to stop one way or the other.
I really cannot imagine doing this to my wife. What a putz.
I’ve seen some pretty good arguments that the Mueller Appointment was not kosher.
Her husband is a huge security risk .
Does he rifle thru her paperwork at home?
He is wacko Dem crazy enough to trash her boss in the press so that possibility is real .
Trump is winning a PR battle to brand the Mueller investigation as nothing but a political witch hunt (which it is).
His tweets have been effective and it doesn’t matter whether he is right or wrong about the constitutionality - what matters is public opinion - when people see it as an unfair witch hunt they’ll get fed up with the whole thing.
When that happens, all the fickle politicians, a-hole talking heads and prickish journalists like this one - will lose their audience and have to find something different to lie about.
This particular fake-journalist has (twice now) stupidly sacrificed peace and harmony in the home with a spouse that from all appearances he was lucky to have in the first place - and for what? - a line of bullshit that no one cares about, certainly not Trump.
Well I most definitely got my argument against its Constitutionality from Mark Levin. I think I'll stick with that.
Or without the last names...
To me, this screams majorly selfish and unthoughtful toward his wife and likely extremely insecure guy. Though it seems Kelly anne wears the pants in the family so that doesn’t help this guy have a chance to become secure as a man. Some guys like to marry a mom - who takes care of things, a little controlling, they skate on many things for a while - then at some point they rebel like this.
This guy hates his wife. I wonder why he continues to constantly undermining her job at the White House. He needs to shut up and go away how embarrassing for her.
What kind of husband would ever do this? What a 100% prick.
He must be in competition with Trey Gowdy who is currently in talks with the networks for a job.
>>He has attacked Trump over & over& over again. Another TDS lunatic.

I feel sorry for Kellyanne and her children, to be put in this embarrassing position by this POS.
Or at least separate bedrooms.
Not sure. But it reminds me of the old Seinfeld joke that explains why someone like George Costanza gets a lot of chicks.
Couch, my ass-if he were my husband, he’d be picking his s*** up off the front porch where I’d thrown it and packing it into his vehicle-and he’d be served with divorce papers by the end of the week. A husband of wife that nastily jealous of their spouse’s success is just mean and petty-he’s an adult, so she’s not responsible for what he does/says-but he is certainly not a supportive partner...
Reminds me of an old joke about getting rid of 300 lbs of ugly fat...
