I wish it was the nail in the coffin.
in fact the ACLU should drop the pretense and join the SPLC and the dnc in hating and trying to destroy the USA.

You can tell because they have never taken up cases to enforce the 2nd Amendment as written.

The ACLU was founded by the Communist Party, it should be no surprise they continue to support its descendants, the Democrats.
To: yesthatjallen
Last summer they said they would only defend speech they agree with going forward. That is pretty much the definition of not being supporters of the first amendment. From that point on (if not before) they became a political fund-raising machine and nothing more.

It has morphed into a hyper-partisan, hard-left political advocacy group/////
It always was one. They would defend the occasional Nazi or KKKer as tokens, to maintain the fig leaf of neutrality.

So how is what they’re doing now any different than what they did before, you ask?
Now they’re brave enough to announce it.

But they’re a tax exempt non profit organization. They can’t be political. Right?

The ACLU was NEVER a “neutral” defender of everybody’s rights, Mr. Dershowitz.

If they’re actively and financially getting involved with elections this would completely change their status and charter.

General rule of thumb; if a "public advocacy group" doesn't identify itself as conservative, it's hard left.
