Is Vermont government working to protect the citizens of the state from having to pay unconstitutional federal taxes, taxes that Congress cannot justify under its constitutional Article I, Section 8-limited powers?
-
"Congress is not empowered to tax for those purposes which are within the exclusive province of the States."Justice John Marshall, Gibbons v. Ogden, 1824.
-
"The smart crooks long ago figured out that getting themselves elected to federal office to make unconstitutional tax laws to fill their pockets is a much easier way to make a living than robbing banks." me
-
"Federal career lawmakers probably laugh all the way to the bank to deposit bribes for putting loopholes for the rich and corporations in tax appropriations laws, Congress actually not having the express constitutional authority to make most appropriations laws where domestic policy is concerned. Such laws are based on stolen state powers and uniquely associated stolen state revenues." me
Or are Constitution-impaired Vermont state leaders actually expecting citizens to start paying for health insurance while continuing to pay unconstitutional federal taxes?
Patriots, we really need to get rid of the ill-conceived 17th Amendment.
The 16th Amendment can disappear too.

The simple solution is to NOT require insurance, but refuse medical treatment if you can’t pay (cash, credit or by insurance).
I like it. And I like most appointments and treatments being cash pay. Like what we do with our health share. Costs go way down when you pay cash/credit (not insurance).

Insurance is not health care. One of the biggest lies put upon the stupidity of Americans. Our country is mentally retarded.

Sounds like we are slowly sinking into communism with leaders like Governor Phil Scott and the legislators who voted this stinking bill in and Phil Scott who signed it. This gives me a horrible impression of Vermont, a state I once loved.

Thats effectively 8800 dollars for healthcare each year not including costs after your deductible is satisfied.
Yes indeed. Before the liberals (lookin' at you, Mitt) "improved" the system I could have purchased a catastrophic policy for probably close to what I pay for a few months worth of premiums. Instead I am p***ing away money that I could use for so many more things.
Liberals ruin everything.

A $10,000 bribe if you met their criteria. Meanwhile, rich folks are continuing to bug out.

That’s what’s called “fishing in a dry hole!” Something politicians have a knack for doing.

The whole thing is a boondoggle for insurers. You are exactly correct, health insurance is not health care. Not only does the doctor have to accept the insurance, the insurance also has to cover the treatments the doctor prescribes.

Of which liberals who scream about health insurance haven’t the foggiest idea about care. You can have millions of dollars of health insurance but if a doctor won’t take twenty bucks of it, it’s worthless. Next up some liberal law stating a doctor or clinic has to take it regardless of whether or not they’ll be compensated.
