JEROME KERN
THE CAT AND THE FIDDLE: SHE DIDNT SAY YES
Margaret was better known in the UK than the US, but she had an amazing versatility. This jazz version is from 1960.

After I hiked the old Nike Missile Base with my pitbull. There's an old Nike site atop a hill in Brea, just east of where I live in North Orange County, Calif. The road leading up to it is Site Drive, but probably few, if any, of the thousands who live in the area know why the street was so named.
I hiked up there in 1976, and the buildings were still intact, but I don't know if they are today.
There used to be several Nike sites in the area before JFK's Secretary of Defense Robert S. McNamara closed them all.

West of the Wall--Toni Fisher (1962)
Yes, that wall--the one Reagan demanded that Gorbachev tear down.
To: Fiji Hill
Many years ago, my Dad took me up to the one in the Blue Hills. It was still operational, so we could only go up to the gate.
I tried to find it years later, but it is now a Boy Scout Camp.
The one on North Hill in Needham is now an Assisted Living Facility.
They were all around Boston like a wheel.

THE CAT AND THE FIDDLE: SHE DIDNT SAY YES
Ralph and the guys are best known as Tony Bennetts accompanists. This is a smooth jazz version of the tune.
