Dem. Rat Newman from Fullerton looks like he will be recalled for being the deciding vote to increase the gas tax. Leading vote getter to replace him is a Repub. Ling Ling Chang Pick Up for State Senate! Young Kim, Repub. looking strong in North Orange county, Distric 39, good chance to hang onto Ed Royces (retiring) seat come Nov.

If you dont care what anyone says that explains why you think the GOP can win statewide in Cali
Hillary won by 20 points
Feinstein by 23 points last go around
Obama by 22 points last time
I guess its possible in a state with nearly twice as many Democrats registered as Republicans
But what a long shot...not as bad as Massachusetts or Rhode Island
Coincidentally....California is second only to Texas for number of registered GOP

The Democrats and the GOP have advanced to the final round in November.
That development bodes well for GOP prospects of keeping the House in mid-term elections.

Looks like the blue wave hit a seawall - apathetic turnout for the Dems and a Rep in the top-two in Dem-coveted seats. Add in sore-loser Villagarosa demanding voting be kept open for 3 more days for giggles and it was a pretty good day for Republicans.

But Feinstein faces Dem de Leon. Republicans voting for Cox for Governor should vote for her as at 85 year old she is less likely to stay in office for four years of Gov Cox?
de Leon could be in office for years, and more left than Feinstein?
