Elephant Genome Project: evolutionary theory re-written
by Joel Tay
Published: 31 May 2018 (GMT+10)
The results of a decade-long Elephant Genome Project have caused previously accepted evolutionary tree models to be discarded.
It was previously thought there were two living species of elephants: the African, and the Asian. However, this research suggests that there are actually three: the Asian elephant, the forest-inhabiting African elephant, and the savanna-roaming African elephant.

Every time they turn out to be wrong, they insist that they are now just more “right”. Because Science.

What about pygmy elephants?......................
“Then there’s panzer Elefants.”
That’s the Russian-steppe-dwelling Elefant.
You misunderstand. They were not wrong.
New evidence produces new facts.
There is no certainty
They have opinions. They have viewpoints. They have interpretations. That's not science.
Water boils at 1000 Celsius at sea level. That's a fact.
The atomic weight of carbon is 12.011. That's a fact.
Evolution is not backed by facts.
Drivel
I began believing in evolution when I observed elephants evolving into rinos.
Evolution = religion.
: )
joke
How far away is the Moon?
How hot is the Sun?
What caused that x-ray burst?
These are scientific questions.
Where do we come from?
Where do we go when we die?
How should we behave?
These are religious questions that evolution answers, and answers incorrectly.
That is science. That's how it's supposed to work. Science isn't some revealed truth that can never be wrong. It's a process for understanding reality and works incrementally.
That makes no sense. How far a bullet will travel is a question about evolution? No.
Denying evolution = religion.
Science can also be corrupted by politics and government grants and devolve—think Lysenkoism and “global cooling”, then “global warming”, and then “climate change”.
excellent argument for global warming nuts
No that's a scientific question as I stated. It is the second set that are religious questions.
That’s how theories work, as opposed to thinking we already know everything worth knowing, so why bother?
