“Saying that hes an alcoholic and that he wants to focus on his recovery,”
Poor devil...it’s not for kids.
“Stinking degenerate. Stop drinking if you cant handle it. Didnt elect you to focus on your recovery. What the hell does that even mean? Those are random meaningless words. Way to step up in your nations time of need. LOSER! “

Reading that reminds me of the WCTU-——good lord!
!
.
Too bad. I transcribe a lot of congressional hearings, and if what he says in those hearings is actually what he believes, we’re losing a good guy for our side.
> Or is he drinking because of the upcoming I.G. reports.
This.
He’s going to have a tough road ahead of him, a good rehab can work wonders. I wish him the best!
“Since he did not say he wants to spend more time with his family I believe him.”
That’s the generic copout. Some people can handle it and some can’t.
Same with finding a mate.
There is always some attractive staffer self-loathing enough to want to get hitched to ugly Uncle Senator.
Helment Head Dorgan, case in point.
Actually, it was well-timed. I happened to be in need of an extra “g” just at that moment. Here’s an extra b in case someone else is in need..

“Va primary June 12
http://www.thegreenpapers.com/G18/VA
We will learn soon who determines candidate to replace him.”
The primary (as for as I know) does not include Garretts seat......it is who will run against Timmy Kaine and a few Delegate races.....if he just announce then there is no special election yet
That said, I also believe everyone who does some crime under the influence should be tried as though it were premeditated.
I felt that the real reason for retiring was not alcohol but something else that the fixers in the back room used for persuasion.
A freshman congressman simply hasn't earned enough skins on the wall to survive after Congress, so retirement seems better than staying in Congress?
More to the story.
I will state that I think Boehner and H. Clinton drink/drank/drunk more then he does.
Hoe much did Trump win his district by? What’s the R/D breakdown?
Thanks
He was + 17, Trump + 11 according to story.
If Pelosi were honest with herself and everyone else, she would go the same route. But she’s too power hungry to let go.
That makes number 44 who will retire this year. A lot of opportunity for better politicians. Hopefully all conservatives. Democrats are out for blood in November. We better be out in force voting. It is odd that so manny in the majority party are retiring.
