Thanks, NN! Seems like we were here just a minute ago.
Hello again and thanks!
Hey! Been missing me some NautiNurse! But, you’re here a little early this year!
Cang. It is going to miss us. This is looking to be one of those summers where the only rain we get will be a stray thunderstorm or a flaming out tropical depression.
We could have used this guy in TX.. the gates of hell are opening early: by Jun 1 it’ll be 100o+ and maybe stay that way, if the HP doom ridge is able to set up shop.
Subtropical Storm Alberto, Alberto is too cool to be called tropical.
In yesterday’s update Bastardi said rapid intensification to a CAT 1 just off the Gulf coastline is a strong possibility.
The Tennessee Valley is going to get hammered
The Lake system has been way up since the late winter and early spring rain events. It could get dicey up here.
Rain event is right. It killed my keys fishing trip this weekend. I cant even hit my local bass spots here in south Florida due to the waves of rain. Hopefully we can still get the BBQ going on Monday.
Alberto. Another uninvited guest from the south......
Governor Rick Scott just declared State of Emergency for all of Florida due to Alberto. Storm surge watch for Nature Coast and Flood watches all along Gulf Coast.
Ardmore?
I am not looking forward to summer here in Houston with 100° coming Friday. Let’s hope the pressure dome keeps us from getting another Harvey.
Thanks for the ping! Didn’t think that we all would be saying “Hello!” again so soon in the year!
Is that like a severe thunderstorm with lots of wind and rain?
I’m about 60 miles south of Tampa.
It’s been raining almost constantly for about 23 hours - now mainly very light rain.
I haven’t seen any flooding since the water table is low at what normally is the end of the dry season.
Thanks so much alwaya enjoy following your Threads
