President Trump signed three executive orders Friday containing sweeping reforms that weaken protections for federal workers and eliminate perks for the unions that represent them.
Under the new executive orders, unions will be charged rent for federal office space and will not be reimbursed for travel expenses or for hours spent appealing worker firings.
All federal workers will be ordered to spend 75 percent of their time on government work, and agencies are ordered to publicly post union contracts in an online repository.

This is about Efficiency!! Its telling them to do their job like any other person would have to. This is an excellent bill. Not sure how much more he can expand. But, perhaps we will find out soon enough.
Oh man gov workers can only watch porn 2 hours a day at work!
They should strike!
Imagine an employer making their employees work 6 hrs out of their 8 hr work day!
“All federal workers will be ordered to spend 75 percent of their time on government work”
What the heck!
I think they’re talking about union reps, who are federal workers.
I was one of the very few non-union federal employees in my department.
I got along with everyone, but union work should not be subsidized in any form.
They'd have to also eliminate "telework" to achieve this.
I love this guy.
Long time coming. I’m getting so sick of winning!
And porn.
This means many AFGE union local presidents and other higher ranking union officials are current federal workers working full time for the union instead of doing their civil service jobs, in federal office space, receiving their full federal civil service pay and benefits for doing ZERO government work.
This rule requires they spend at least 6 of their 8 hour shift doing the jobs they ARE paid to do and allows no more than 2 hours for union work and that unions pay rent for the office space they are allowed to use FOR FREE!! If the Fed Gov unions want full time presidents for their locals they will have to encourage retired Fed Gov to fill these roles and pay them from union funds along with the rent for any onsite federal office space they are using!!
Which brings the questions: Why are taxpayers employing union reps? Shouldn’t that money come out of the unions’ budgets?
“All federal workers will be ordered to spend 75 percent of their time on government work”
That wasn’t flushed out very well. There are Union Reps, Stewards if you will in the Fed. Employee ranks just like in Union Shops. It is a small percentage for the most part, but apparently actually working for the job they are employeed is now being made a priority as opposed to stirring it up like Norma Rae. Imagine that!
Mr Creosote is about to blow. Take cover.
What the heck!
You recall the old joke:
Q. "How many people work at the Social Security Administration?"
A. "About half of them."
So 75% is really a step in the right direction...
Public unions must be outlawed. The taxpayer is NOT represented.
Don’t get wrong, union people. I have no problem with unions in the private sector. If the products you provide have value, I’ll give you my hard-earned money. If the products you provide suck, you won’t get dink. It’s your choice whether or not the company you work for succeeds or fails. But when it concerns the public sector, you essentially have a gun to my head.

Union reps were allowed to “work” on Union business, as Government employees, on the clock. Some did nothing else.
I wonder if that could be turned around, and transformed into a practice to be called "collective firing"?
Put the screws to the government unions...Go Trump!
That is something which has always bothered me, that a portion of my dues went to subsidize libetal politicians who I would never vote for.
