Saw this in the Comments section at American Spectator ... is it really this simple?
"SPECTATOR2017 disqusisass a day ago There's an easy way to get rid of Sessions now... 1) Appoint Matt Gaetz as #3 at DOJ. (That position is available because Rachel Brand, an associate of Mueller, resigned months ago). 2) Fire Rosenstein for filing a perjured FISA affidavit and other crimes. 3) Sessions said he will resign if Rosey is fired. 4) Gaetz then become head of DOJ, replacing Rosenstein. He also becomes Mueller's boss."
Sessions appointed Huber 6 months ago to assist the IG in prosecution of crimes in the IG report.
Sessions is months ahead of the Congress bed wetters.
At this moment there are over 25,000 sealed federal indictments, usually only about 1,100 by now.
Yesterday was a show to get the news out to those who haven’t been paying attention.
You’re watching a movie, enjoy the show.
4? I only need 2.
1. Foot
2. Ass
It still amazes me people still think Sessions hasn’t been doing anything. They just don’t get they have to clear so many people in our government who are Clinton cronies who will make indictments and charges go away. Instant satisfaction was going to help these people get away with their crimes.
Leave the thread! Now! No common sense allowed!
Yes. Gaetz would need confirmation. The word on the street is that Mueller required confirmation because of his extensive powers. Those are not the powers of an inferior officer as understood from the constitution
Thank you Rod Rosenstein. Hang in there Rod just a few more weeks and everything will be laid out on Barack Obama doorstep thanks to you. Mr. unintentional consequences Rod Rosenstein.
Yeah, 25,000 sealed indictments. 24,999 for anyone supporting Trump and the remaining one for some low level democrat for jaywalking just to show it was a bipartisan effort by Mueller.
Trump has a plan. Let it play out.
I find it impossible to believe that the same man who in 18 months has brought NK and Iran to their knees, moved the embassy to Jerusalem, brought household income to an all time high, brought unemployment to new lows, and lowered our taxes does not have a well-thought-out plan to bring the criminal element in our government to justice.
Brennan is in a panic and running scared. If Sessions as AG were not a threat, Brennan would not be panicking.
+1
“Youre watching a movie, enjoy the show.”.........
Problem is we’re running out of popcorn and haven’t got past the commercials yet. Time to get to the “feature” program and start prosecuting. Too much posturing, get on with it.
Have the Qers figured out whether Mueller and Rosenstein are white or black hats yet?
“How To Replace Sessions in Just 4 Steps?”
Nah! Do it in one step; fire the jerk!
We know that useless punk Mitch wont confirm a replacement. Could Trump Fire Jeff and Rosenweasel and appoint interims?
Don’t bother telling them, they’re too stupid too read.
It’s really a shame that there are such stupid conservatives but it’s true. Dumb as a bag of rocks.
“Thank you Rod Rosenstein. Hang in there Rod just a few more weeks and everything will be laid out on Barack Obama doorstep thanks to you. Mr. unintentional consequences Rod Rosenstein.”
Oh great. Can’t wait for the “Trump is a racist and he hates women” lunatics to come out from under their rocks just in time for the election.
Who has been too stupid [your word; just borrowing it] to figure out whether Rosenstein was working for or against Trump for the past year?
Got a mirror?
Doubtful Gaetz is eligible for the job short of the normal appointment process or by getting a recess appointment.
By default, the next-in-line at a department becomes the ‘acting’ head. However, the Vacancies Reform Act of 1998 allows a president to name another Senate-confirmed officer to fill the position in an acting capacity. Such a pick is still limited to 210 days.
So the President could name new FR superhero John Huber to be Acting AG to avoid Rosenstein inheriting the job.
The fallacy in your impure group think is that we don’t want Sessions replaced
Trump wants Sessions replaced. That’s good enough for me.
