Its the sort of thing that drives animal-rights advocates and other elite bunny-hugging liberals wild, to the delight of politically incorrect red-blooded MAGA-men. As NBC News reports, the Trump administration is bringing back savage hunting techniques to federal lands in Alaska:
The Trump administration is moving to reverse Obama-era rules barring hunters on some public lands in Alaska from baiting brown bears with bacon and doughnuts and using spotlights to shoot mother black bears and cubs hibernating in their dens.
There are a lot of humans, much less bears, who cant resist bacon and doughnuts. But before you can say Sarah Palin, theres more:
Under the proposed changes, hunters would also be allowed to hunt black bears with dogs, kill wolves and pups in their dens, and use motor boats to shoot swimming caribou.
These and other hunting methods - condemned as cruel by wildlife protection advocates - were outlawed on federal lands in 2015. That was, of course, under President Obama, who hated Real Americans.

Baiting deer is legal in many States.
We never baited the bears...We’d drive the logging roads and have a “strike” dog on the hood or the top...Believe it or not, a good “strike” dog could smell if a bear had crossed or went down the logging road in the past few hours...He’d start baying, then we’d get the trail dogs out and have at it...
Never saw a reason to bait deer or hunt deer with dogs...They are such creatures of habit, scouting will help you find where they move and where to set up your stand...
Ever hunt black tailed deer? They are not creatures of habit like white tails.
I’ve heard stories from the Depression Era, I think, around here. Dogs would be used to push all the deer in an area to the beach, and then up against a jetty to be shot. Currently illegal to hunt them with dogs.
Nope...As far as I know they aren’t any in Tennessee that I know of...
Dog hunting for deer is legal in Alabama and Eastern North Carolina...Probably plent of other places also, I guess...Most all my deer hunting has been in East and Middle Tennessee...
I’m ranch raised and to this day I shoot all my beef and pork right between the eyes just before I slit their throats.
Some of these posters seem to think that the beef, pork, chicken, and fish they eat just magically appear in their grocery stores. Somebody is killing all of the meat poultry and fish they eat weather they like to deal with it or not.
My attitude is that if you eat store bought meat but bitch about my hunting you are nothing but a hypocrite and a coward.
The coward part come in if they don’t have the gonads to kill the meat they eat.
I’ve never in my life told a city slicker flat-lander how to live or tried to impose my values on them. In return they need to stay in their cities and keep their mouth and lunatic ideas away from me and the cultures that actually feed their sorry asses.
No, they’re a west coast thing. Personally, I like(d) still hunting or trail watching. Baiting would require polluting the baited area with human scent. In Texas, where mesquite can limit visibility and people pay big bucks to hunt big antlers, baiting is the norm. Running a deer down with dogs doesn’t hold any appeal for me.
we can have one dog per hunter when hunting deer in cali.
Big antlers do nothing me...Can’t eat antlers...
I taught my son that the first legal deer he sees goes in the freezer....
Hunting bear with dogs? Why?
If you don’t understand, you probably won’t
Or to a PP abortion clinic/baby chop shop.
Then give me lectures on “cruelty” you lying hypocrites.
I had a Rottweiller with the patience to sit still. I’d be worried that some Fudd would shoot her, though.
Exactly!!!!!!!
Like the woman on her first deer hunt...She shoots and heads down to her kill...
A man is atanding over it and and she yells “Get away!!! That’s MY deer!!!”
He steps back and says “OK...You can have it...Just let me get my saddle off!!!”
There is nothing inherently cruel about luring a bear with bait or with any of those other hunting methods.
Sounds like BS to me too.
“Running a deer down with dogs doesnt hold any appeal for me.”
Deer dogs don’t run deer down, they just track the deer and the deer will circle back to the hunters. Beagles are popular deer dogs in the south, they are slower but the deer run a smaller circle.
Obama put the restrictions in place?
Why didn’t Hillary’s Husband Bill do it when he was POTUS?
