Sarah Palin said Thursday that Sen. John McCain's (R-Ariz.) admission that he regrets picking her as his running mate in his failed 2008 presidential bid is "like a perpetual gut-punch."
The former Republican vice presidential nominee said the senator's recent remarks were "not what Sen. McCain has told me all these years, as he's apologized to me repeatedly for the people who ran his campaign," she told the Daily Mail before speaking at a pro-Trump PAC fundraiser.
In his upcoming memoir, The Restless Wave: Good Times, Just Causes, Great Fights, and other Appreciations, the 81-year-old senator laments not selecting former Sen. Joseph Lieberman (I-Conn.) as his vice presidential candidate.
McCain still gives Palin high marks for her work on his campaign.
"I attribute a lot of what we're hearing and reading regarding McCain's statements to his ghostwriter or ghostwriters," Palin told the Daily Mail, saying she would have to hear from McCain herself.
McCain is currently at home in Arizona where he is receiving treatment for brain cancer, but remains a strong voice in the GOP and the Senate where he often criticizes the Trump administration.
Add to THAT statement another:
YES, SARAH PALIN, the ONLY reason to vote GOPe that election. Never caring much for our Military “hero”, John alone wouldn’t have had this vote. It’ truly sad that we know this is not due to his brain cancer as he has been vindictive as hell during his final? years in congress. The man hated US - that we feel the same about him should come as no surprise.
True. I voted for her, not McCain. I saw her at a rally once and she made me a sandwich. It doesn’t get any better than that.
Haha, We seen Sarah at the Youngstown airport early fall and it was hot. Sarah was up first and after standing in the heat for 2 hours my wife was getting nauseous and faint. As I was leading her outside a obnoxious newscaster got in our way and ask if we didn’t like McCain? I just said “Lady, my wife is sick and if you don’t move she is going to throw up on your nice dress & shoes.” She quickly exited out path. I didn’t want to give her the satisfaction of stating I couldn’t stand Juan McCain.
.
The basic stuff can stop brain cancer, like washing your mouth out with baking soda several times a day, and holding the solution in your mouth to raise your blood ph.
THC is also very effective on brain cancer.
That is the sign of malignant narcissism. No defeat could ever be their own fault so it must be somebody elses. That explains the Democrats reaction so very well.
What medical studies support this?
Thanks
We love sarah and was the only reason we even voted for McInsane
This is why i voted for Sarah. Class.
McCain regrets not tearing the party apart by selecting liberal democrat Joe Lieberman. I think he was flat out told that the convention would reject that choice.
Charting McCain's 'Suspended Campaign'
Thursday, Sept. 25
9:15 a.m. McCain appears at the Clinton Global Initiative in New York. Former President Clinton introduces McCain and praises him for bucking his party and spending a lot of time on global warming.
I will forever believe that Mrs Palin is the reason McCain got as many votes as he did.
Well he lost. So I guess he blames someone other than himself. Nothing new there.

Self-accountability was not trained or bred into McCain. He has never accepted his role in being a traitor either.
They put her on the ticket to get control of her
Sarah Palin is the only reason I bothered to vote in that election. I wasn’t going to vote for Obama and I have extreme dislike for McCain. He is a douchebag.
I hope Palin does not attend McCain’s funeral. He doesn’t deserve the respect.
I know for a fact that, a month or two before the 2008 Republican National Convention, all elected Delegates and Alternate Delegates were asked whether they would vote to approve McCain’s VP choice if such person was not pro-life. The responses that I saw ranged from “No” to “HELL NO!” to “I will support McCain’s choice, because I am certain that he never would choose someone who isn’t pro-life.” Had McCain tried to get the Convention to nominate Joe Lieberman, not only would the Convention refuse to nominate Lieberman, but, unless McCain quickly corrected course and replaced Lieberman with a pro-lifer, it could have spurred a rebellion even among delegates pledged to McCain and the Convention would look for a different presidential candidate to nominate.
You should have scraped him off your shoe a long time ago.
Sarah was and is too good for McCain.
I see now that 2008 was a huge cynical play by the GOP.
That is why they got repaid with Donald Trump.
HUGS Sweetest Megan!
You and I are so much alike, Millennial Palinistas who were way ahead of the curve back in 2008.
Sarah is classy.
McCain? Not so much.
