He was running in the primary for Governor. Several Democrats are trying to replace Larry Hogan, the current Republican Governor.
Kamenetz was probably the most well known candidate.
He came off good on TV but was a typical liberal politician. Sad for his family. Even political opponents said he was very personable.

Kamenetz and his wife, Jill, drove less than two miles from their Owings Mills home to the Chestnut Ridge Volunteer Fire Company where the county executive called 911 from the parking lot.I had an attack 8 months ago, my wife called 911, I recovered fully.
Cardio doctor on duty said many people who drove themselves in had a very different outcome.
I believe it, the EMS guys worked like hell as we sped at 100 miles per hour for 20 miles to the ER.

Why didn’t they call 911??In these sprawling Baltimore County (not city) suburban towns with lots of little cul-de-sacs, streets that do not go through and stupidly duplicative place names, it's faster to go to the EMTs than to ask them to find your house.
