From the LA Times, about 2007, lest I be called a racist:

“But it’s clear that Obama also is running for an equally important unelected office, in the province of the popular imagination — the “Magic Negro.”

According to Valerie Jarett, giving credit this morning to Obama for the employment figures, looks like the Magic Negro is still working his magic.

"The seasonally-adjusted SGS Alternate Unemployment Rate reflects current unemployment reporting methodology adjusted for SGS-estimated long-term discouraged workers, who were defined out of official existence in 1994. That estimate is added to the BLS estimate of U-6 unemployment, which includes short-term discouraged workers."

Even the "long-term discouraged workers" are rejoining the workforce...

Only if they are given the opportunity to read about the Rasmussen report. And we all know that the LSM will avoid reporting on it!

Instead of the Trump subpoena coming in a month or so, expect it delivered to Trump the day he leaves for the NK meeting. (See if I’m wrong here.)

As of May 2, 2010, the left-leaning Gallup poll had Obama at 48% approve; 45% disapprove; and 7% no opinion (http://news.gallup.com/poll/116479/barack-obama-presidential-job-approval.aspx), even though the MSM treated him like a saint. I suspect that the disapproval rating was actually closer to 50%, but that some of the poll participants did not want to say so because they did not want to be perceived (or self-perceived) as racist.

I agree that the Deep State, as represented by Mueller, would do that...if they could. However, you CANNOT subpoena a sitting President. It is something that both the Nixon and Clinton Justice Departments had as policy, and it has never been changed. The ONLY way to deal with a President who might have broken the law in any significant way is to go through the Constitutionally-authorized process of Impeachment. Even Mueller wouldn’t dare - this is a bluff, and intended to whip up a storm of controversy.

More than the unemployment rate, if he can get wages rising it could really make him a force to be reckoned with.

I find it interesting that ShawdowStats has us still in 20% territory which if my memory is correct was where the U6 was during the reign of error of he who shall not be named. Yes this economy is smoking, however I now find myself questioning ShadowStats...

That is an interesting prediction. It implies that the entire effort is meant to sabotage his function as President.

I shall not be surprised if you turn out to be right.
