How wildly irresponsible was the speculation by this MSNBC guest? So bad that even Chris Matthews instructed viewers to ignore it. On this evening’s Hardball, a lawyer named Katie Phang imagined that President Trump has refused to acknowledge having had an affair with Stormy Daniels because:
“There is an exceptional ‘cheat clause’ with his prenuptial agreement that he has with Melania Trump.”
That bit of conjecture was more than even Matthews could stomach:

If not for hatred and anger the Establishmedia would have nothing to offer.

He hasn’t in years.
Instead of cutting her microphone off, he let her continue the lie. Can’t tell me that Matthews was not in on this smear.
They not only want Trump out of the WH -— they want to destroy his business and family.
She is nasty and strident and delusional.
Matthews is a bit more level-headed, but he can barely articulate a coherent sentence. The booze has softened his brain.

Chris Matthews does not even appear human any more. He looks like a cheaply made, plastic-covered android.
When the Clinton stuff first started coming out, Matthews was a decent guy. But bit by bit, he had to sell his soul to support Clinton. And bit by bit, he sold it. I remember it. It was painful to watch.
Matthews wants to get rid of the president as much as the rest of the kooks on the left do, but he’s politically astute. He was working for Tip O’Neill during the eighties and had to see the Democrat attacks on President Reagan backfire. He probably is seeing the same thing repeated on President Trump and knows there could be a backlash! Matthews knows there’s no smoking gun in the Mueller investigation and he probably considers these investigations into the president’s private life a waste of time and not politically smart for the Democrats to pursue!
