A California bill that aims to ban Christian books and resources which address issues of homosexuality and gender identity could pass in the California Senate as soon as late May, sources told CBN News.
Assembly Bill 2943 declares biblical books and Christian conferences dealing with biblical views on homosexuality or transgenderism as fraudulent under the state's consumer fraud statute. Ultimately, it would penalize those who share a traditional view on marriage.
"Whenever a pastor or a church or a para-church ministry holds a conference or an event or sells a book or video about overcoming same-sex desires or gender confusion, that could indeed be banned," Randy Thomasson, president of SaveCalifornia.com, told CBN News.

Before he’s done, Brown’s name might rank up there with other greats like Lenin, Mao, Ho Chi Minh...
Indeed. Anita Bryant was right.
George Washington knew what he was talking about. Gov. Brown...meh,not so much.
You know, every day it seems some new weirdness is legislated in California. But, this latest proposed law takes the cake. I can’t believe any sane human would propose such a law.
I would suggest that Californians get the hell out, but on second thought, they might come here.
But, the rebellion is on PTL!
Time for the Christians to get the H-E-double hockey sticks out of there.
These idiots are treading on very dangerous ground, spiritually speaking.
Sin angers the Lord on general principle, but there are sins that He especially hates: hindering people from coming to Him, hindering people from following Him, hindering the proclamation of His Word and the sin of corrupting children is expressly singled out for an exceptionally severe judgment.
Read Matt. 18:6 and Luke 17:2.
Still pretty conservative in north county San Diego, where I live. But its one of the last conservative bastions in the state that is not rural.
Life is good and we are not surrounded by liberal loonies. We left the Bay Area for that very reason nearly 20 years ago. But the lunacy in Sacramento is mind-boggling at times.
It is clear there is an all-out assault on free speech and the right to bear arms. Then consider the behavior of the “Deep State” against a duly elected President Trump where the DOJ and FBI were made into weaponized tools against the people. Effectively invalidating freedom of religion, on top of all the other, will be too much to ignore. It will confirm that erosion of our rights will not only continue, but likely accelerate. That will be intolerable.
Federal courts are full of shit — and this is a perfect example: the protection that the first amendment affords is exactly the limitation of the Congress. Period.
To say [oh, sorry, interpret
] otherwise is to give the ability of amending the Constitution to the Judiciary, something which is simply not allowed.
What is being said there, by implication (and appeal to authority), is that the Judiciary is superior to the Constitution.
If you accept that such an application has some effect, then you are agreeing that there is some “magical change” that happens to the text in this ‘incorporation’... this alteration is amending the amendment, and therefore the entity applying this change [the Judiciary] is therefore amending the very Constitution [in this case the First Amendment].
Now, where exactly are the courts legitimate given the authority to alter the Constitution?
“Federal courts are full of shit and this is a perfect example: the protection that the first amendment affords is exactly the limitation of the Congress. Period.”
I agree. But after the disaster at Appomattox, this was to be expected. It actually turned out to be much worse than anyone feared.
I have often said I do not think it will be long until the Bible believing Church will be driven underground in this country. We May be closer than I thought
