If the most recent USSC appointment had been made by Mrs Bill we might well find out not so far down the road that the Penumbral Emanations implied by and inferred from the 14th Amendment actually repealed the First and Second Amendments.

“Could that include selling Bibles? Possibly, but not likely;”

When a law is passed always expect it to be interpreted in the most extreme and ridiculous way possible. The intent of the authors of a law is always irrelevant. That being said, I doubt the authors of this law have any misgivings on how it will be enforced.

Surely this will not stand a 1st Amendment court challenge. Can it?

Banning the Bible is something totalitarian governments do.

There are many examples, but the anti-Christians say those conversions are all fake.

Scary to think what a liberal might still find in that Penumbra. Like the ‘Right’ to never have to meet a private citizen with a gun...

“Anyone who opposes homosexuality can be vulnerable under this proposed California law.”

Even (GASP) muslims?!

Violation of the 1st Amendment. If passed it will be overturned.

In Kalifornia do they still use the Bible for swearing in Courts? For a state that hates the Bible I’m surprised they still use it in court.

No, Muslims can be as homophobic as they want to be, as they are higher up in the victim chain than are perverts. In a like manner, white heterosexual males are to be cucks and betas, while black and Hispanic men can be as alpha and macho as they want to be.

Anyone thinks God and Jesus are worried about Moonbeam and his minions? Hardly.

Once again it becomes very clear that the lunatic left has no interest in the Bill of Rights and would throw them out in a hurry given the chance. They only believe in the freedom to agree with themselves and nothing else.

If this abortion of a “law” is not held to be unconstitutional, then our Republic is LOST.

You got that right. They can try to destroy the truth but the rocks themselves will cry out for the righteous will of God.

CA Constituion, ARTICLE I, SEC. 4.

Free exercise and enjoyment of religion without discrimination or preference are guaranteed. This liberty of conscience does not excuse acts that are licentious or inconsistent with the peace or safety of the State. The Legislature shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion.

A person is not incompetent to be a witness or juror because of his or her opinions on religious beliefs.

It is lost. The Snowflake Generation will vote themselves into chains as soon as Gen X is into Medicare age.

California should be honest abut it and just Nullify the 1st Amendment within California’s borders

The first amendment has no effect on CA, unless there's some magical textual transformation, because it quite specifically, explicitly applies to congress an entity that the State of California does not possess.

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances. — See?

“Time to amputate cancerous kalifornicationia and save the union”

This.

Being in a union with California is like getting a daily blood transfusion from someone HIV positive. In other words, it is a bad thing.
