In a series of startlingly candid conversations, President Donald Trump told former FBI Director James Comey that he had serious concerns about the judgment of a top adviser, asked about the possibility of jailing journalists and described a boast from Vladimir Putin about Russian prostitutes, according to Comey’s notes of the talks obtained by The Associated Press on Thursday night.
The 15 pages of documents contain new details about a series of interactions with Trump that Comey found so unnerving that he chose to document them in writing. Those seven encounters in the weeks and months before Comey’s May 2017 firing include a Trump Tower discussion about allegations involving Trump and prostitutes in Moscow; a White House dinner at which Comey says Trump asked him for his loyalty; and a private Oval Office discussion where the ex-FBI head says the president asked him to end an investigation into Michael Flynn, the former White House national security adviser.

Of course the AP doesn’t mention that what Comey essentially did through the memos is to record a conversation with the President without his consent. Is there any wonder the guy should have been fired? Apart from his leaks?

I’m just wondering when Comey actually wrote these memos. Was it right after the meetings? Or was it a year later when Comey realized he needed some cover for his behavior?

The “talking about prostitutes” was telling Comey something Putin had said. Yellow journalism.
The same media who ignored audio tapes of Clinton talking with his mistress Gennifer Flowers.
I’ve yet to see or hear one thing out of Comey’s mouth that would lead me to believe anything that fell out of it.
What struck me funny was when he wrote about the classification of his documented lies! Does he have classification authority as head of the FBI? If so, he would not have written what he did regarding classification IMO! If not, he would have known to run it buy his security officer! He did neither, as he indicates AFAICT...meaning it wasn’t actually classified! Why not?
Fake Memos.
Check this sociopath’s laptop on which he supposedly “contemporaneously” recorded his “recollections” of his meetings. The metadata on the laptop will show when he made the original documents and when he made changes and what changes he made. Of course the “untouchables” and “incorruptibles” (I use those two terms VERY sarcastically) in the FBI may have already completely removed all that metadata from all laptops and desktop computers used by Comey .
Well, he CLAIMED that he recorded his notes of the meeting on his laptop in his FBI “limo” immediately after the meetings with the President. How do you know when Comey is lying? When his mouth moves. ;-)
I believe it was right after the meetings as it appears he passed them on almost immediately. I’ll have to go back and verify.
Sounds like this came out of the DC AP desk (Spin Bureau). Watch how and who in the print and electronic media pick it up and put them on your “usual suspects” list.
I’m thinking that they were current. But his characterization of them was purely deceitful.
He claims he wrote them because he was so taken aback by Trump. But his first memo mentions nothing to get upset over.
He makes several incriminating indications, such as classifying them as secret.
CRUCIALLY: They do include the assertion that Trump demanded his loyalty, BUT CLEARLY IN THE CONTEXT OF MEDIA LEAKS.
He makes clear that from the start, Trump had misgivings about Flynn’s judgment BEFORE the phone call with Russia was revealed. BUT Trump stressed that Flynn had done nothing criminal. He wanted Comey to understand that Flynn was fired for bad judgment, not misdeeds.
Lies can be jotted down any old time. LOL! ;-)
IIRC, the memos didn’t surface until after Comey was fired. The meetings had taken place in the few months after Trump was inaugurated. Or is my memory lapsing?
I noticed 3 things:
1. The first meeting: (Comey) I then executed the session exactly as I had planned. (Have been saying he PLANNED all this)
2. Comey said more than once directly to the President that he could fire him at anytime.
3. Comey said that Obama and Holder were quite close. (How can that be?) Comey mentioned other Presidents close to their AJ. So the loyalty thing that Comey fussed over was a lot of cr**.
Comey had to remember to pack his computer in the car so he could carry this memo thing off. However, I still believed he wired himself and there are tapes. No one has ever asked Comey...have they?
