Can’t find a small truck anymore. I have been looking at Tacomas, and these days they’re over 17 feet long, only 2 inches shorter than Tundras.

I miss the Ford Ranger. Simple, cheap and tough.

I have a 2010 Ford Escape and am very happy with it. If I bought something new, I would probably up-size to an Explorer. The only American sedan I would consider is an SHO Taurus.

We love our SUV’s. Much easier to enter and exit than low slung autos. Cars are so ...yesterday.

I think it is the stupid CAFE standards that screwed our cars up more than anything else.

Since I switched to all wheel SUVs, I’ve never had a problem again driving in snow. And despite the “global warming” I keep hearing about, we get a lot of snow in these parts.

There is more profit with the sale of pickup trucks and SUV’s then in the sale of sedans. Is that good for America’s automobile industry?Only time will tell.

SUV's and Crossovers are station wagons. Just...rounder.

I quit driving cars back in 1970 when I got a truck, not my first. Have been a truck man ever since. Now had a Jeep and truck.

I never understood the desire to own something that you could not haul your goods in.

Wife liked cars. Now she likes SUVs.

This has to do with government regulation. The government decided that driver and front seat passengers needed to have their feet directly in front of them in the event of a side crash. Therefore car manufacturers had to build in a console to prevent people from moving their feet. The smaller the car the more confined the foot well. When I had to wear a medical boot on my foot I couldn’t drive either my Marauder or my Jetta. I had to use an old truck. This and other regulations have made the car smaller and more uncomfortable. That is why people are opting for trucks and SUV’s.

There could be some pushback if regulators pass tough emissions rules. But at some point, technology may narrow remaining gaps in efficiency.

Thanks to Trump and Pruitt, tough emissions rules are being tossed.

People who shop and shlep want a hatchback ... this is the big thing. I’ve owned “cute utes” for decades now, the small SUVs. Who wants to bend over and put groceries in a trunk? But I don’t see this mentioned.

It’s due to CAFE standards forcing auto makers to produce clown cars like the Prius that only libs and gay/lesbians want.

Most people live in traffic heavy areas these days, no point in having a high performance car just to crawl along behind the next guy.

My family car is a 2014 Toyota Sienna minivan. My wife drives it and with four kids under 10, it's the perfect "soccer mom" vehicle.

My daily driver is a 2015 Tacoma dual cab 4x4. I love it. It's my joy in life.

I used to drive a Corolla when gas was expensive. It was a fun little zippy car but I doubt I'll ever own another sedan again. When the kids get bigger and don't need to be chauffeured around as much, my wife has her eyes on a Mazda CX-5 crossover. Beautiful car.

Several years ago I saw a 1960s Chevy Caprice (one of the biggest behemoths on the road in its day) parked along the street. It was dwarfed by the SUVs parked on either side of it.

If all sedans didn’t look like a jellybean, that might help too.

Eh. I’m very happy with my old AWD Legacy wagon. Handles far better than any pig of a Crossover.

No wonder there was no traffic at rush hour these last months ... just me and a few other lonely souls ...
