The Trump administration announced Wednesday that President Trump will sign a proclamation to send the National Guard to the border immediately.
Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen said at the White House press briefing that it would be done in conjunction with governors and that the administration hopes the deployment begins "immediately."

So while it may not make the Navy part of PCA, it restricts them equally absent an authorization by SecDef. Same as all the services.
You are the one that has no clue about the border.
Nah. You and I both know Pentagon lawyers are hard at work handcuffing every soldier deployed to the Mex border.
Someone should hire a pollster to get a poll on Governor Brown. I wonder what the people of California are really thinking about their crackpot governor? This would be a great opportunity to put the fear of God into him. I suspect that Brown’s popularity has dropped drastically within the past week. If anybody deserves a piece of humble pie it is Brown. A negative reaction from the voters would scare Brown and the Democrat politicians. They might realize that they may have pushed the electorate way too far this time.
Strike while the iron is hot!
Is People Without Borders residing in the United States? If they are Ol’ Donald better get to work on them right away. Where are they getting their money? What Federal laws are they breaking etc. These punk groups have been coddled for far too long. Maybe they all deserve jail time.
WE also need a wall of tents just as Sheriff Joe Arpaio had set up in Arizona. You don’t have to build buildings for the illegals that are caught crossing the border. Just make them stay in those tents and get an experience of “rouging it” for several weeks or months. No need to “catch and release” just keep them in the tent city till they are ready to see the judge.
Remember the “minuteman” drama back around 2006? The invaders and their media friends put on a big hysteria festival calling the minutemen KKK etc. They got so upset that they had a Million Mexican March which the American people saw to their shock and amazement. It did not turn out like the open borders crowd thought it would. It did not inspire sympathy for the illegals but rather shock and rage from the American people. They let their representatives in Washington know what they really thought and millions of Americans had their eyes opened to the size and scope of the illegal alien problem for the first time. Every time they show their real selves, may more Americans awaken to the threat of open borders.
Drones can keep track of the smaller groups.
God bless him! All it took was a president who really was on our side.
And the road all along the border wall will make it much easier and quicker for the border patrol to get around.
About opportunity makes the thief. That does say a lot about their values. I know a woman who lived in the El Paso area for many years. She was telling me that when she moved to Massachusetts she was amazed that people left things outside in their yards and nothing was taken. In the El Paso area close to the border, people could not keep anything outside or it would be stolen. Culture makes all the deference. I was born in a poor country, but the people didn’t steal. It was not in our culture.
If Mexico is not exactly an “enemy” country it must be recognized as a “sketchy” country. Good fences make good neighbors.
I have been thinking a lot about Mexico and what the open border has done to both Mexico and the United States—it has not been good for either country. The open border has brought millions of illegals into the United States eroding our national sovereignty, costing us billions of dollars, turning large areas into slums and spreading crime and drugs though out the country. But the open border has also been bad for Mexico. Why? Because 25 to 30 years of open borders and sanctuary city policies has dragged Mexico down into the mire. It has encouraged more crime in Mexico and created an economy based on criminality rather than honest labor. Honest labor builds up a country and creates many positive things for the people. Honest labor produces the slow and steady way to prosperity rather than the destructive fast money means of criminality. Crime is anti humanity and anti civilization. Mexico has lost 25 to 30 years of an opportunity for a generation of its people to live in peace, educate their children and create a real tomorrow.
Trump says this evening that 2,000 to 4,000 troops will be sent to the border, which is less than Bush Junior sent.
Having lived briefly in El Paso, I can confirm it is a town overrun with Mexicans, filthy, and, yes, bars and gates and walls everywhere.
You are right. I hope your family appreciates the legacy of your virtuous upbringing and practices them today.
I think most of these guys are used to “roughing it” for most of their lives. Many come from the state of Michoacan. I have traveled through Michoacan. Living there is roughing it.
I am very happy with my family and I thank God every day for my blessings.
“Orville Faubus”
I do remember Orville Faubus, I also remember the song... I think it was a Mingus tune, but Mingus is a perfect example of keeping your moral compass intact if you care about a legacy. And Mingus does have a bit of legacy that remains, but his lecherous and lewdness greatly diminished that legacy it as it became common knowledge.
