With criticism coming from Democrats aimed at the Trump administration over spending on a border wall and border security, President Donald Trump tweeted rips of "ridiculous liberal (Democrat) laws," called for the Senate to go "nuclear" to "pass tough laws now," and vowed "no more DACA deal" on Sunday.
Stopping before walking into church on Easter Sunday, President Trump echoed his tweets.
"Mexico has got to help us at the border, and a lot of people are coming in because they want to take advantage of DACA," Trump told reporters as broadcast on "MSNBC Live."
President Trump tried and failed to fund his estimated $25-26 billion border wall and border security plan in the $1.3 trillion omnibus passed last month by leveraging it against a permanent solution for the Obama-era DACA program.
DACA, Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, allows benefits and protections for children who were illegally brought to the U.S. by adults but gives no official U.S. citizenship status. It was a program started by former President Barack Obama under an executive order. President Trump called for the expiration of the order to force Congress to create a permanent solution. The presidents actions have been blocked by courts.

Building a wall using defense assets and funds to build a wall makes a lot of sense. Turning back the invaders is a matter of national defense.
Jim,
This caravan of illegals is enough to get emergency action done.
If these people think they will just overrun the border and have a grand ole time, they will soon discover their action will speed up enforcement.
President Trump will act on this.
I agree completely with the sentiment.
Politically, though, I think it would also be wise to pressure Mexico to send the invader caravan home, by cutting off trade or access to border points. The image of a couple of hundred thirsty, starving Hondurans stuck in the harsh desert in front of an impenetrable wall would be politically devastating in today's softheaded media driven environoment.
Ryan, McConnell, McCarthy,....hello...??? Romney-McDaniel??
Can this guy get a little back up??
I see the caravan as another stunt like the flotilla to Gaza a few years ago.
It’s a double play, either the government caves and looks bad for betraying its base, or they enforce the law and the media demonizes it after hyping it up for a month.
Half of these so called republicans make me sick.
Remember how Trump Caved on DACA? Some of us said to hold your ire. First impressions ain’t worth a dam if that’s all you know.
It absolutely is national security and as such, the exclusive domain of the executive branch.
Nope, hes on his own politically. He has only us. Lets roll...MAGA.
Only Half?
He knows if the 1,500 come through the next wave will be 150,000.
It is Ester so I ma in a generous mood today. Tomorrow it will be about 90% of the GOP
Easter.
See, this perfectly illustrates the current insanity that is the Federal Court system.
The program was started by Obama by executive order.
The courts do nothing.
President Trump doesn't even issue an executive order, just wants it to expire on the date specified in the original order.
The courts stop him; in essence, preventing him from inaction.
Utterly insane.
Came across this video yesterday. Thousands of ‘migrants’ storming the border barriers of Morocco. The border guards beat them off with clubs. Only two of a thousand attempted fence jumpers get through.

The futility of this, Mitch will not go nuclear. He must know this right right? If Trump doesnt stop the invasion on his own we are screwed.
Let’s hope he acts on this. Otherwise, we are screwed.
Please just let it be the inspiration he needs to build the wall with military funding.
What is more, I don’t know that I trust the border agent’s claims that ballards are safer that real walls. I look to Israel, and their walls are real walls. The agent’s request to me is akin to letting the teachers union decide how to teach reading—wherein they opt for the whole word method we know is horribly inefficient.
This is a full invasion at this point.
