David Hogg Wants a Boycott of Laura Ingraham's Advertisers...Here's How Kyle Kashuv Responded

Parkland activist David Hogg is calling for a boycott of Laura Ingraham’s advertisers after the Fox News host made a comment about some of his college rejections, which he openly discussed in an interview with TMZ.

“David Hogg Rejected By Four Colleges To Which He Applied and whines about it. (Dinged by UCLA with a 4.1 GPA...totally predictable given acceptance rates.)” Ingraham tweeted along with a link to a DailyWire story about the rejections.

Hogg was turned down by four University of California schools--Los Angeles, San Diego, Santa Barbara and Irvine.

The Parkland activist responded by calling on his supporters to contact her advertisers.

While he had a number of followers happy with his push for a boycott of Ingraham’s advertisers, the best response came from fellow student Kyle Kashuv.

“You can run around calling everyone a child murderer, viciously smear @DLoesch, say he isn't attacking @MarcoRubio hard enough, but, if you tweet out an article that points out that he didn't get into college he launches a boycott against you trying to drive you out of business,” he wrote.

Mic drop.

She was citing what he himself had made public. She did not dig up the info.

In my daughter’s high school (one of the top 10 in TX), they give you bonus points for taking pre-AP and AP courses (about 15% and 30%, respectively), on the theory that these are harder than regular high school classes. So, in theory, you can get 130% in a class - and that is important with regard to class rank. There is another school in my daughter’s district where if you don’t have at least a 105 average, you don’t stand a chance of getting into good colleges (because the colleges know very well what is going on at each high school).

As for Hogg, I’d bet that his 4.1 makes him perhaps in the top 30% - 40%. The area around there is quite well-to-do, suggesting not only more intelligent parents (on average, of course - and having NOTHING to do with their political intelligence), but also a lot of paid tutoring for the little Johnnies and Marys so that they get into the best colleges.

“What is a 4.1 GPA?”

Essentially, that is called the “weighted GPA’ vs a non-weighted GPA. In short, a high school kid can get “extra” if he or she takes an honors course or an Advanced Placement course. Thus, the time/energy/studying in an advanced class is more than the “regular” class (which is true in most cases). I think they do this simply to allow students the freedom to take a more difficult class, put in the effort etc... or everyone would be taking the on level classes (who wants to risk their GPA for Honors chemistry, for example, if they could slam dunk an A in regular chemistry). That being said, most colleges I know ask for BOTH GPA’s and I have known some kids to have a 5.0 weighted GPA. One can make the argument that a student should WANT to advance their education and challenge themselves by taking the more difficult classes but if they are applying to a private college/state college... the competition can be fierce. Unlike when I applied (my college applications simply asked for GPA and SAT results), today’s admissions ask for GPA/SAT/or ACT/clubs/awards/volunteer activities etc... Hope this helps :)

HE WAS NOT AT THE SCHOOL THE DAY OF THE SHOOTING

He rode his bike 3 miles to get to the school to take videos.

Big mistake by Laura. Go after this scumbag’s handlers or whatever leftist front group is supporting him. Don’t attack him personally. He’s a diversion, misdirection.

I don't believe Laura was attacking him personally. She was pointing out his whining about not being chosen by these school in a public forum and making that part of his "look at me, I'm such a victim" narrative.

Who would win a Kashuv vs. Hogg presidential election?

Who would win MO, NC, VA, OH, FL, NY, IL, TX?

Kashuv v Hogg would be an entertaining event.

He didn’t like being called a whiner. Nothing else was derogatory. Is it true that he’s not a high school student and is 28 years old with an arrest record?

What a thin-skinned little snowflake! He can dish it out, alright - but God forbid that someone should send some back in his direction. Now he’s out there flailing around and trying to hurt someone who simply reported a fact that was ALREADY in the public’s eye.

Interestingly, one could have looked at what he has done - gone very public about his view of things (even if you disagree vehemently, which I do), and say that he has courage, good speaking ability, etc. IOW, things that (if focused in the right direction) would be great characteristics in a young adult. However, with this latest nonsense, Hogg has proven himself to still be a child.
